Vladislav(Lelush) was a Russian man who was hired to teach his two Japanese friends Chinese, since his two friends was sent from Japan to compete to the show Chuang2021 in china. Chuang was struggling getting contestants because many was unable to join due to overseas restrictions and local competitions suddenly dropped too. So the director pretty much take anyone to make up the missing spots, and Vlad was taken aswell after soo many attempt to make him join. Vlad joined and expected himself to be eliminated right away on the show since he couldn't sing and dance like the rest. But as an introvert he couldn't take much so he began being outright pessimistic about how tiring it is and he wants to leave during the interview. But he didn't know that this honesty, and his deadpan attitude is what makes him extremely popular in china. Because compare to the rest of the contestant who are so energetic ,who can dance and sing and optimistic all the time, Vlad(lelush) stands so we'll on how he contrast compare to everyone. The more Vlad is unwilling the more popular and more votes he gets unfortunately.
It was kinda sad for Vlad, but his pain was not in vain, after he left the show many companies right away took him in and he finally was able to get to his dream of modelling. Apparently the fans has to vote him so much to make him popular so he can use this opportunity to make his dreams come true.

hi! as a huge chuang 2021 fan, i just want to quickly clarify a few things:
lelush (which is his stage name) joined the show to act as a translator as there was a lack of trainees and yes, he really wanted to get off the show, but eventually, he began to feel at home
although he did purposely put in zero effort in some of his stages (which were only his solos actually, like his first performance and his theme song evaluation), he actually did try his hardest to train in his groups so he wouldn't ruin his teammates' experiences and chances to debut.
at first, he was very desperate to leave the show. a lot of us who were watching live were disappointed that fans were treating it as a joke and kept him on the show, but the conditions on the show were actually quite good and all the trainees became really close friends. lelush himself made multiple friends and everyone respected him - not only because his circumstances were funny and HE was funny, but also because he was still trying his hardest to help his teammates succeed.
because of this, lelush's popularity skyrocketed and he became one of - if not the most - popular trainee on the show. the producers even gave him his own bgm that they played every time he showed up on screen LOL, so I think he was pretty happy
and note that he wasn't actually upset the entire show - you can watch any clip and he's probably smiling! and you can even see him enjoying himself for his last stage in finals - but he also gained a huge fanbase because of it and came out as the most popular trainee who didn't debut on the show. so he probably views chuang as a valuable experience that helped him build his career
so although it really was unfair that he was stuck on the show for so long and people voted for him even tho he asked them not to, know that this experience was not as bad as it sounded and he ended up enjoying himself
sorry for the rant and I hope this clears up a few facts! i just wanted to make sure that everyone knew lelush was happy in the end and although he was forced to stay on the show, he eventually began to enjoy it and the conditions in the show were great :)

I feel bad now that I laughed at some of his clips at first, the show tried to make his pleas seem like a lighthearted sarcasm. I got on weibo because of this show as well (lol) and some were finding the gag of "i dont wanna be here but I keep winning due to popularity" guy so they kept voting for him to stay. It was until he was at the top 18 (semi finals) when each contestant are required to have a speech that they can say to their fans to help garner them more votes, he basically said there are a lot of other idols that he was with that deserved the spot more than he do so please do not vote for me. He was only there to work as a translator but due to shortage of participants he was cast last moment. The other contestants were very happy with him tho and often said that him being there helped them take their minds off the stress. The fans also voted purposely and planned to take him to the finals but once he reached there they stopped voting. At one point he was in the top 10 if I remember correctly and he was so scared. Coz if he had won he would have to sign a contract to be in a boy band for a year at least. He said how hard it was to dance and sing all the time and said he never got sleep and developed major dark circles due to the boy band lifestyle. It was awesome to see how a normal person would react when in this situation plus made it so clear that these boy girl group lifestyles are only shiny on the outside and are so deteriorating on the inside.

Another reason to hate K-pop: not the bands’ fault but the industry is literal dogshit , even jail treats you better. Many people killed themselves buecause it was that bad.
Also I know this was technically C-Pop but K-Pop work conditions are just as shitty as this poor man had to go through.

This is literally what the kpop industry is like. As a kpop stan, this is what we call the dark side of kpop, and thats why we stress over not hating on kpop as kpop artista already have so much stress + some are sensitive to hate

Because of Chuang2021 Lelush have so many endorsement now He became pretty famous in China,Japan and Russia, especially after the show He appeared on the following popular variety shows in China along with famous celebrities.I think it's destiny that forced Him to enter the entertainment world cause looks at Him now,He can buy what He want and need unlike in His previous living that He really struggle on his everyday expenses and can't go back to Russia because He said that it's expensive to live there.
PEOPLE LET'S JUST CHEER FOR HIM CAUSE HE'S HAPPY NOW❤❤❤
