You made a very interesting and telling point when you said, "most bespoke mechanical features are problematic". Absolutely true! All one of a kind designs have problems written all over them. But for the people who want them it only matters in the time to brainstorm any problems and not in the cost of doing so. Money is never the problem.
I really like your irreverent approach to yacht tours. Too many channels are in awe of everything and it gets a bit tedious. You on the other hand always tell it like it is
Agreed. Kudos to owners who open up to honest scrutiny. At the end of the day, sophisticated buyers will make their own minds up and won’t be swayed by the gushing of others. This is refreshing. And mo informative.
I actually kind of like when there's really dark gray clouds and rainy. It's honestly become my favorite type of weather. My wife and I both do. We could stay on one of those boats and wouldn't care if it rained the whole time
3:16 the way the Centerline storage is built right above the kitchen island: I could see the chef bumping his or her head on that enough times to ruin a good meal and a good evening for all the guests😂 great presentation on your part Esysman 👍 we love you man!
Beautiful boat, maybe more understated than I expected from a fashion designer. The bridge in particular looks like a fabulous place to work. Thanks for the tour!
I imagine carpet on a super expensive party yacht would be super hard to keep clean. Giorgio Armani knew what this yacht would be used for and designed it perfectly.
Carpets are a very British thing, I guess. Not very popular in Italy, you'll see tiles and bare wooden floors at homes, maybe a rug, but not a carpet. It looks stylish and is healthier, actually, when you think of all those germs and allergens carpets are full of ;)
“In my experience anything bespoke which is mechanical is problematic “ 😂 has anyone told the buyer he’s being stitched up for never ending snagging repair costs??? and not enough water for the shower, small beds (nb without stabilizers). Perhaps the only way to know you’re at sea and not in a claustrophobic hotel is the bed at an angle. At the bridge has a stitched leather steering wheel for bad weather. Your commentary is wonderful. Thank you.
“In my experience anything bespoke which is mechanical is problematic “ 😂 has anyone told the buyer he’s being stitched up for never ending snagging repair costs???
A bit like the possibly problematic aft saloon doors on "Bayesian"? Too many of these super luxury vessels are not the kind of thing I would ever want to take to sea in anything above a Force 3 breeze. A huge bundle of problems waiting to go wrong. Good luck to the crew and I hope the owner has deep pockets and an unlimited supply of patience.
I am now hooked on your channel, ever since I found you talking about the Bayesian sinking. A few years ago I saw that a superyacht called ILONA was going to be in London in 2012 for the Olympics. I had to go and see it. I have photo's, and a souvenir t-shirt, but they couldn't allow me to go on board for a look around. It was so exciting for me because in the UK my name is quite unusual. I have just looked on Marine Traffic and see that it is berthed at Palma Majorca at the moment. It is interesting to see how the other half lives. ILONA
If that were my yacht and you showed me your ID with your name matching my yacht I would have let you take a tour around. It's unlikely that will happen to me though as if I get a yacht I'd call it Execution Dock (where pirates were hanged) 😜
Reminds me of my grandmothers front parlour, you could poke your head around the door and look but woe betide you actually sat down or touched anything
Great tour and wonderful narration of this Giorgio Armani superyacht. It might be small, but it's packed with everything a person would need to look cool.
2:50 "I think that's probably a 65 meter television. I'm not sure." Silly British trying to convert. 😜 It's maybe a 65 inch. You're forgiven since you do a yacht tour about once a year. 😁 3:08 "This is a small boat, 2499 gross tons." With his cruise ship background, I think anything under 100 meters eSysman calls "small." 😆 For the rest of us, usually anything under 80 feet is "small." Although, later he refers to it as 499 gross tons, which is probably accurate. Thanks for the tour!
Yay finally another yacht tour from esysman! What I really like and what makes your tours unique is your eye for technical details. White teak insert looks awesome but is more expensive than black insert. Small boats have their pros, such as feeling more familial, less worries with port restrictions or shallow areas, ability to hire crew with more low key qualifications (aka greater talent pool). Does anyone know who designed this small beauty? You could have mentioned that as there were really no clue😀 Fire is the greatest threat to any vessel not sinking... Italian Sea Group: "Puh that guy got the curve last minute and avoided a lawsuit" Impressive that they got a touch-and-go helipad on the bow despite the size of the vessel. That yacht has actually everything you could ask for despite it's size.
Your videos are ALWAYS interesting , thoughtful and full of information that "NON-YAGHT" people(like me lol) can understand....thx for years of coverage...hope your Porsche is OK lol
Personally I prefer to not have carpet, other than a large rug. Carpets take so much time away from the interior crew to keep clean. You always have that one alcoholic frind who's going to spill his drink, usually red wine on it.
If you can afford bespoke products you can afford to pay for frequent repairs. LOL Beautiful ship. I love the wood in the deck and floors. I'm always amazed at how well they can make use of small spaces. Thanks for the tour.
Always a pleasure to see you touring superyatchs. It is a shame the very pretty interiors do not engage with the sea. If I didn't know I was in a boat, it could easily be a luxury boutique hotel in Central London.
The rainFALL shower head in the Owner’s cabin was huge! I’m sure there are some shower heads in the rainFOREST, too 😁. Thanks for taking us on this tour
Thank you for walking though this vessel I like you pointing out different things, your very high standards 😊❤😊 when you said Fire Extinguisher on fly bridge I was not expecting a stand pipe and fire hose storage. 😊
If I ever hire Giorgio Armani to design a yacht for me, I am going to insist that he keeps his initials off of every circular surface and remove all the Armani dedicated books…..lol
At the end, you mention that the cameras appear to be fixed. That may be true, and you probably already know this, but one of the reasons for the bubble lens over the camera is not only to draw less attention. It also obsures any camera motion if they are redirected and doesn't make it obvious what they are looking at, at any given time. This is a great channel by the way, and you make a very good narrative host. I'll never afford a super yacht, but nonetheless, I'm addicted to your channel.
Looks interesting - not sure if I'm a huge fan... I didn't see much evidence of hand-grabs and rails to provide support/safety when walking around at sea? So I am not sure if that is a great idea... Anyway... I enjoy your channel - I like the details that you share, always insightful. :-)
Great comment about the galley -- it looked really tight to work in. I found the use of marble-looking walls distinctive but a bit odd. The crew hallways were so narrow -- no way to pass someone going the other way. Oh well, I hope the owner likes it.
I actually really liked this Yacht. I would how ever have carpets throughout. You didn't mention how many crew. I'd say 6 maybe 8 ? The galley seemed fine, but there must be more fridge freezer spots some where on the Yacht. Well shot video.
The main fridge and freezer are probably near the food store, which is usually well away from any of the guest areas. I'm surprised that there is nothing like a dumb waiter to allow heavy items to be moved easily.
Another awesome tour. I love your informative experience. With the lack of carpeting on the entire main deck and owner's suite, I wondered if the intended owner has mobility issues. Even the shower had no lip to step over. It is something I would take into consideration in a yacht I would design.
Some observations from a very interesting vessel. Looks like a possible dayhead, forward starboard - main deck past the dining. You said 65 *meter* size TV -- now that would be interesting. In the galley, dark cabinets always make the room look smaller. The convection oven is actually the cooktop. Appears to be a dumbwaiter in the aft section of the galley. Entering master you said no carpets, yet, main deck salon seating area had them. Upper deck missed day head, mid-ship starboard. Dining on upper deck - middle of table is a "lazy susan". Bench in shower for crew is for ladies to shave legs. On the bow with the "H" in the center it looks like a touch and go for helicopter. These are not criticisms on the video. So please do not take it that way. 🤗 🍷
Is it a Codacasa?......renowned for having working lights board facing the bridge windows ....it always looks like there's fifty vessels doing their thing ....but it's just a reflection from the board
Was that a touch and go heli-pad? The galley looks like a place where everything can slide off the counters while you're bumping your head into the oversized center cabinets. No sky lounge but a double bar? It's very Casa Armani but I've watched these vids long enough to see how the crew and function was not the focus.
Thank you for the candid remarks--that, unlike other reviewers, are critical as well as complimentary. I must have expected more textural and material interest from a design by Giorgio Armani (because Italian yacht interiors by "less famous" names are beautifully finished), but the emphasis here seems to be on fine architectural detailing (ceilings, walls, floors with no trim--which is not easy to accomplish) rather than fine interior design (finishes, fabrics, colors that distinguish GA fashions). Surprises include: the mismatched stone panels on the dining table, the so-what flooring in the owner's cabin, ho hum fabrics and materials in the main lounge, galley counter...Thank you, esysman!
On being just inder 500 gross tons, Milton recently visited Florida and I watched the progress of Coast Guard preparting ports and issuing their "port conditions". During Port condition Yankee, ships over 500 gross tons require captain of the port's permission to enter and all those above 500 inside the port *should* be making plans to leave (unless they get special permission from COTP). (and the rules vary from area of responsibility to the next. (rules on the St-Petersburg (which include Tampa) were different from those of Miami area for instance. )
Please forgive me if this is duplicative, I don’t have the time to check through 802 comments… we are just going to skip over 0:16 a LAND ROVER 130 driving across the harbor?!?!
I have to say I hate the onyx-marble on the corridors and dining area on the man deck. To my eye it looks cheep and reminiscent of a public toilet tile. But I guess as someone who will never own a yacht of any size my taste is very different from someone who can afford one. The owner is possibly from a very hot country that would figure for the lack of carpets.
On the "no carpet" on the master bedroom floor: on a ship designed for summer/hot/humid weather, i would find this better, and also far easier to keep clean and odrour free. And if you are to put in a nice expensive wooden floor, why not show it off? Carperted guest deck = cheaper floor.
I thought when TH-camrs get invited onto a SY you had to say only great things about the boat. Not you though. It's refreshing. Good luck getting invited back. Cheers
You make the same observations I would: everything bespoke that is mechanically operated spells trouble, rain-shower heads use tons of water,... If I would design a yacht for world cruising I would have as less automatic bespoke stuff as possible and normal shower heads.
This could be a little insight as to why the some owners don't want carpet is because a person who dislikes the feeling of carpet on their feet could be described as having tactile hypersensitivity; this means they have a heightened sensitivity to touch, which can manifest as discomfort or aversion to specific textures like carpet. Another theory/guess is the thought of how dirty carpets can be, even if the crew cleans it everyday.
On the panel below bridge instruments. TH-cam compression doesn't help but it doesn't look like carbon fibre. A "for show" carbon fibre panel generally has a reflective surface (the epoxy) and the challenge is to have a *perfect* thin epoxy without any air bubbles so that it makes for perfect refective surface with no imperfections. The surface you showed lacked that reflective surface (and carbon fibre is generally black).
The metal trim surrounding the stairs in the quest cabins area it’s not gold, it’s brass. You can clearly see it by it’s colour and shimmer (or lack there of)
It might be to maximise headroom but they could at least use a decorated flat surface that doesn't sacrifice vertical height... or intricate lighting designs
I always look at the chess boards to see if they are set up correctly! And the one at minute 1:26 is NOT! Presenting chess boards is often an attempt to impress the audience that the host, owner, etc. is knowledgable, scholarly, and informed. But when presented, this chess board is an indication that the owner is not that sharp! Now, don't ask me how that chessboard is set up incorrectly, I leave it to you to investigate. Furthermore, no serious chess player would be comfortable playing a serous game on that board with those pieces.
@@visionist7 I don't know because, like many stylized chess men, one has difficulty distinguishing which piece is what. That's why no serious chess player would play on that board with those chess pieces. And, the glossy surfaces offer too much glare which is a distraction. That is why a green and eggshell-white board is often preferred. Ever heard of "Banker's Green"? Players need not to be distracted; audio or visual.
She's stunning; wouldn't call her inviting, though. I almost never criticize a style choice of a yacht, because I'm not a qualified buyer, but the GA logo everywhere is tacky as hell . . . still, someone will like it, no doubt.
The 242 foot super yacht Em&M is anchored directly in front of my house on the Hudson River off George’s Island. I have pictures and a video which I would like to send you. How can I do that.
You made a very interesting and telling point when you said, "most bespoke mechanical features are problematic". Absolutely true! All one of a kind designs have problems written all over them. I am just the opposite. I prefer sunny and warm weather.
wow it's amazing there are others who feel the same - 100 %
I especially hate weather above 22 degrees.
I love clouds and rain as well. For me, it’s a beautiful day :)
Its prop old age, i mean who wants depressing gloomy weather all year round, i'd live in a desert if i could😆
3:16 the way the Centerline storage is built right above the kitchen island: I could see the chef bumping his or her head on that enough times to ruin a good meal and a good evening for all the guests😂 great presentation on your part Esysman 👍 we love you man!
The water on the teak deck makes it look even more amazing.
Thanks to the owners for allowing us to view thIs most beautiful yacht . Your insights on pointing things out are much appreciated.
Love your channel. Not a yacht person but you make all of this very informative and interesting. Great work.

Yes, but. Carpet and rugs are surely the things that most make a place feel like a home rather than a hotel or museum.

🙋♂️ ESYSMAN THANKS FOR THE TOUR AND REMINDER OF WHAT BESPOKE MEANS 😁💚💚💚
Looks way too clinical.

looks a nice & tight ship
All the dude wanted was the rug. It really ties the room together.
When I saw the master cabin bathroom, all I could think was 'You could have a bad tummy there - and no-one would know"!

Terence Disdale has a very beach house design style. You'll find his interiors on yachts like Pelorus, Sussurro and the gigantic Eclipse
The rainFALL shower head in the Owner’s cabin was huge! I’m sure there are some shower heads in the rainFOREST, too 😁. Thanks for taking us on this tour
Hi Esys, i find outside the Yacht ⛵ more interesting. But i liked this as well. 👍👍

If that is marble, the supplier and installer should be commended, stunning! Beautifully matched.
If anyone missed it I just like to point out this is a small boat

The wood on that boat looks better when it's wet... It looks really dull White when is dry
I will bring my Slippers 😊
Ps. I did love the brutal, honest opinion at 1 minute and 56 seconds. 🧐
Great comment about the galley -- it looked really tight to work in. I found the use of marble-looking walls distinctive but a bit odd. The crew hallways were so narrow -- no way to pass someone going the other way. Oh well, I hope the owner likes it.
Excellent tour. Zero flim-flam is how we like it
A lot of these yachts have such strange living spaces.
Hi it is teak and holly flooring
I actually really liked this Yacht. I would how ever have carpets throughout. You didn't mention how many crew. I'd say 6 maybe 8 ? The galley seemed fine, but there must be more fridge freezer spots some where on the Yacht. Well shot video.
The main fridge and freezer are probably near the food store, which is usually well away from any of the guest areas. I'm surprised that there is nothing like a dumb waiter to allow heavy items to be moved easily.
Thank you very much, really enjoyed that. I like that one very much. (only 35 million I believe 🙄)
As always great tour and insight from your point of experience, i agree carpets in the master cabin would've been nice
A 65 meter television, wooow!😂😂😂
Was that interior designed by Armani ? I couldn’t tell 😂😂
Thank you for the tour. Love when you do them.
😂
So many sharp edges!
Was that a touch and go heli-pad? The galley looks like a place where everything can slide off the counters while you're bumping your head into the oversized center cabinets. No sky lounge but a double bar? It's very Casa Armani but I've watched these vids long enough to see how the crew and function was not the focus.
Great tour thanks
I’m a modest person. I don’t need the biggest and best of everything. This modest little yacht would suit me nicely. 😂
ohhhh … now i get it … the channel name was updated 😂😂😂❤❤❤
23:30 Bottle of $16 Unicum spotted. Finally I can relate
Fancy...... 😮
Love the channel.. Mam they really DONT look after the minions do they..😢😢😢
Small boat, very cramped. I love you 😂
Thank you for the candid remarks--that, unlike other reviewers, are critical as well as complimentary. Not a 130.
“A small boat like this…” 😀
This is enough boat for me.
Also best designed one I’ve seen. Don’t like carpets anyway.
04:00 thats an induction hob, not a convection oven
The UK has neither exclusive rights nor monopoly on rain 🙂 Holding it in the fall increases chances of rain.
Very interesting.
0:15 Amphibious Landrover / Jeep / Thing? 🤔
Great tour with plenty of tongue in cheek comments!! Not my cup of tea though, carpet under foot would be a must on my superyacht!!
No engine room. 😢 Oh well! Next time perhaps.
I simply can't believe it. Entering a supposedly-luxury yacht, and there are no handrails on the stairs. Barbaric.
“Admiral Giorgio Armani” 😂
On the "no carpet" on the master bedroom floor: on a ship designed for summer/hot/humid weather, i would find this better, and also far easier to keep clean and odrour free. And if you are to put in a nice expensive wooden floor, why not show it off? Carperted guest deck = cheaper floor.

I think Giorgio Armani owns a piece of Admiral Yachts. Did he trade his design work for a piece of the company? Not a bad deal.
At 20:00….were those someone’s bare feet at the top of the stairs??
Another man of culture I see
You make the same observations I would: everything bespoke that is mechanically operated spells trouble, rain-shower heads use tons of water,...

There is also matte carbon fibre.
The metal trim surrounding the stairs in the quest cabins area it’s not gold, it’s brass.
You can clearly see it by it’s colour and shimmer (or lack there of)
Seems to have a pretty poor field of view from the bridge. Is that common?
Why is the ceiling in the living room plane panels? Why can't yacht builders finish a cieling?
It might be to maximise headroom but they could at least use a decorated flat surface that doesn't sacrifice vertical height... or intricate lighting designs
It nearly always is like that.
Strang...it's raining here too.
