So in this Rust electric video, I will show you how to use the large solar panels.
I will show you how to get the large solar panels and what the best placement is to get the maximum power from your panels.
It's been a while since I've uploaded a Rust electricity beginner guide video but I hope you get some use out of this Solar Panel video.
It's highly viewer requested and it answers the age old questions such as, how do I place my solar panels? solar panels are not working? what's the best way to put my solar panels down? what is the best rust guide in 2022? .... ok that last one might be a bit of a stretch but every other question will be answered.

Facing the middle is actually better. For example if you are on the west coast you will be getting much better sunlight facing east.
Hi. I tried it but this didn't work for me. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I'm north, facing south, tried different angles (and repairing the panel every time) but I didn't get more than 10 power at best. Then I watched some other guides, I don't know if it was recently changed, but the best way for me was 2 panels, one facing absolute east (compass), the other absolute west, and a root combiner to send both to the battery. For half of the day the first panel gives 20 full energy while the other one is off, and vice versa for the other half of the day.
Its outdated. Facepunch likes to overcomplicate shit for no reason. Before Rust had two suns. One was only a texture and a light source on the sky. The other was as AniCod pointed out the power source for panels, just a stright line from East to West in game. This is now outdated and the sun moves from East to North and then to West, because they thought that adding a solar calendar and sun angles whould make it easier. TLDR; depending on how long the wipe is going to be and what was the last time the server wiped, the sun will be in a different angle and you have to angle your solar panels accordingly every in game rust weeks...
I did notice the difference for a few wipes when close to the center between North and south. Everything was fine until I really start struggling with what used to work fine.
At 1:55 you say: "when you are in nothern hemisphere place it south" but you place it exactly the wrong way Lol
