  • Learn THIS Circuit to be a PRO at Electrics in Rust | Beginner Guide
So this video takes us way back to the beginning of electrical circuits in Rust. I will show you the 4 fundamentals of electric circuits, how to put them together and more importantly how to build on them into more fancy Rust circuits.
This is a total beginner guide to electric circuits in Rust and if you get this circuit right, you can build on it to become a Rust MLG pro in electrical circuits in no time. so I hope you enjoy it.
If you're wondering what the 4 fundamentals of Rust circuits are, then you've got power production which will be solar panels, wind turbines or even a generator. Then you've got power storage in the form of a small battery, medium batteries and large batteries. Power control in the form of switches, this basically means you can control your output. Finally you've got power usage, this can be anything that requires power in Rust, for example a simple light to a music box to a turret, pretty much anything electrical.
If you want to build on this circuit, all you have to do is replace one of the fundamentals with a fundamental of the same type, for example change a small battery for a large, or change a switch to a laser, or a light to a turret and as long as you're changing the fixed types, I promise you wont go far wrong.
If you only learn 1 circuit in Rust, then learn this one, this is the most important rust circuit as almost every other circuit uses these fundamentals as the backbone of their operation.
Play around with these circuits and let me know in the comments how you do :-)

Awesome video! Would love to see an updated beginner video for Farming as its nearly two years old. Great stuff!

I am used to these electical circuits where a battery can not recieve power to charge when the output is on a constant usage of 1-100. Basically we had to drag a wire from battery output into a blocker that is powered from the side to make the blocker actually work as an actual blocker. Power from battery was blocked so that it could recharge. The circuit to make a base fully automated with a constant power for 24/7 coverage was very complicated. Nowadays any power source will recharge the battery even when battery power is in use.

I'd like to see a video about conservation of battery charge, using Blockers or something like that. When you use an Electrical Branch connected to a battery, it always use the amount of energy that the branch is set up to use, even when the part after the Electrical Branch is not in use at that moment.
As an example, you want to split the energy used to power the lights in your base, you put an Electrical Branch then you set-up the amount of energy needed to power the lights in your base and connect the wires to a switch (or automated light circuit) and to the light. The problem is that it will always consume the amount of charge the light needs to the battery even when the lights are off. I've figured out that using the leftover current of the Electrical Branch to power my lights consume the charge only when the lights are on. I used the branch of to connect to other Electricals Branchs for the others circuits in my base, but then again, now it always use the charge of the set-up amount of the Electrical Branch to the battery.
(I hope it was clear enough)
I wonder if there is a solution to this. The ideal solution would be to only use the amount needed at the given time, but I don't think it's possible.

Rand switch with a solar panel should fix that

So... Here's a dumb question: can the lumens from a ceiling light be used to charge a solar panel? If so, seems like a good way to have never-ending power...

The problem with power distribution in rust is that it is so inefficient and illogical.
