Huawei’s new phone is a going to be a massive expensive paper weight. No companies would massive produce a foldable phone case. If one of the screens cracked the entire phone would be useless and unusable. Huawei has been banned from selling in the United States. No western countries would take them seriously. Huawei can’t stand against tech giants like Apple and Samsung. Majority of the world uses Apple and Samsung products. Those two are serious heavy hitters.
As a die-hard Apple fanatic, I'm kinda stunned by this. Always thought foldable were a big gimmick, but this screen size kinda sells it to me. Big interest in this field

There's already reports of damages to this. Same as how it happened with samsung's fold smartphones at their earliest release, but the quality improved over the years. Buy the tri fold after 5 years and the money's worth the price then

That's without counting additional preorders, over the counter sales and sales in other countries for their forthcoming global version/s. After deducting manufacturing costs and other relevant expenses the profit from this one device may probably be more than $4.5B based on the above scenario.

China manufactures both high-end and affordable products, but unfortunately, due to the low income of many Indians, we can only afford the cheaper options.

It does look impractical though, because it is a trifold phone the folding screen will sit out on the exterior. Folding screens aren't as durable as glass screens so it will scratch and just a drop will probably scuff the entire screen. You can literally leave dents in your screen using your finger nail thats how fragile the screens are.

Well like, the company is based in one of the most populated and conservative countries on the planet, of course it will be doing well. That is to say, it is difficult to get other products not made in China into China, for a number of reasons, so Huawei and other domestic brands have a huge advantage. Ya'll keep mentioning Apple, but even Samsung, a massive company which is developed by a nation on the same landmass as China, is struggling to hold itself there.
I think 1 fold really impractical because you need to open to use it but if you don't want to frequently open it you need added screen too. I don't know how popular it will be, but two fold seems like the most logical phone transition to tablet so far.
