im amazed by all your scienceless ruins rush videos, the most difficult part for me is to fight with so little amount of light, i mean, being comfortable with insanity and fighting shadow creatures is a thing, but for the average player, even fighting them with lanterns or miner hats are a bit of an extra challenge, and u seem to do well with only glowberries and an axe, this is much above my level of experience, is that any way to get familiarized with that kind of situation in specific or its only practice trying to reproduce the situation myself? i mean, theres no real reason to do such thing other than test/show skills but i really like to see stuff like that, i wonder if i can do it myself one day.
you can try to rush ruins and every attempt you succed, next time bring less light with you. I started with 4 torches at least 10 glowberries and now i can to the same thing with half of it, you just got to manage these resources sparingly - with one shadow creature drop a couple of lightbulbs on the ground, that should be enough light to see them before they hit you, with 2 sometimes it will get tricky, not taking damage is unusual, but after you get mag it gets a lot easier.
i make alchemy engine before ruins and get hambat footballhat lantern goldtools for pick/axe for nightmare pig and also get living logs so i can guarantee getting star caller staff and thulecite club for speed boost
Ruin-Rushing is actually Ruining the Game for the rest of players (Public Servers), since they depleat valuable resources for Mid-Game. AG Horn + Deerclops Eye make a powerful Weapon - DO NOT EAT HORN.... just give it to someone who is building a long-term Base. Also PLEASE DO NOT WASTE ALL THE GEMS!!! Thanks.
