Darwin's theory of Evolution: A REALLY SIMPLE and Brief Explanation

  • Darwin's theory of Evolution states: "Evolution is the net change in organisms or a population over the span of many generations.”
    This change in organisms or populations happens through DNA mutations and reconbination and is passed down to the next generation through reproduction.
    In this video we tackle what is evolution and address what people misunderstand about evolution and how it happens. So, here’s a compressed crash course on evolution - from the mutations and recombinations in the DNA which create diversity to environmental factors like natural selection and genetic drift.

    The evolutionary process must play out as follows if it was a reality. The individual atoms that form the body (that is lifeless matter) of the animal must possess a consciousness to be aware of what the body is, and be aware of the 'life' that is within the form/body. They must be self-aware of not only themselves, but their fellow atoms within the form/body. They must be aware of what life is and perceive the life within the form they compose. They must also be aware of what a healthy life is and what a life under stress is, and care whether it survives or not. They must also be aware of the external environment, what it should be in order to be healthy for the life within the body, and what changes it must have gone through in order to cause the stress of the life within the body, which means the atoms must also be monitoring both the life's condition, and the changing conditions of the external environment (and its effects on the body and life). The atoms must also be aware of what changes they must make to the lifeless atom-made form/body in order to restore health to the life (grow more hair in reaction to a colder environmental change). Now for the body to change form its DNA must change within its reproductive system to bring the corrective change, New information, new atoms for new genes, need to come from somewhere and be put in the right sequence within the reproductive DNA strand to bring the corrective change of growing more hair, needing to know what hair actually is in the first place, or why they are acting in a pro-life direction with the mutations, which requires, as does the rest of this, a consciousness present, which is the point that renders the evolutionary theory extinct, and shows the character of abortion as an abomination. It is obvious that all of these necessary conditions are not just impossible, but far and away from reality. Atoms do not possess their own consciousnesses, they cannot move, they cannot find new atoms for new genes somewhere and plug them into the correct position within the DNA strand, they are not self-aware. But this is exactly what they must be, and be able to do, if the Evolution theory is to play out. Impossible, impossible, impossible. This 'theory' inadvertently proves God's existence. When it is run backwards, and ends up arriving at the first atom in the evolutionary progression, the only two answers explaining where it came from are 1) coming from nothing or, 2) It had to be created out of nothing-by God. Since something cannot come from nothing the answer must be it was created by God. Ending the existence of the evolutionary theory.

      'The evolutionary process must play out as follows if it was a reality..'
      Well, since biological evolution is real, and there is a scientific theory that explains the facts of biological evolution, and biology/genetics and other subfields of biology wouldn't even be fields of science if evolution weren't real, and since we're also talking about applied science, then I guess atoms possess consciousness, and all that other stuff you said is true as well. Very cool.

    • @harryrussell154
      @harryrussell154 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@travisbicklepopsicle A lot of words to state the impossible is possible. Atoms do not, cannot, possess a consciousness. Another example where the defenders of the false theory of evolution have surrendered reality to their fantasy. Where has there EVER been an example where the atoms decided to 'do their own thing'? Where when mixing two compounds to get another one, something else happened? Nowhere. Needing to escape reality to defend your evolution is proof enough evolution is a false theory.

      @@whoff59 the problem is more to do with direction than time. The 'micro-evolution' we can identify, are all examples of mutations destroying functions- e.g. a polar bear losing fur pigment or a cave fish losing sight. They may well be advantages in niche environments, but they are still genetic losses which do not explain the gains required for macro-evolution.

    • @whoff59
      @whoff59 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@user-jb2om7cm8m No. There are well-known mechanisms of mutation which don't only destroy function but result in additional possibilities.
      A gene or chromosome can be copied into several versions, one functioning just like before and the other free to adapt to new functions.
      This has been shown in many many cases. One example that comes into my mind is the hemoglobin molecule or for instance chlorophyll. Over the big time frames you can clearly see evolution working: first one version and then splitting into several different versions over time in different species, starting from 1 version of some gene and then copying and variation in the copies sometimes including change in the functions.
      Another example is Covid-19. Everyone could track the evolution of the several versions and adaptions of the Virus.
      It didn't lose only possibilities of change, it developped other possibilities over time. And our immune system developped other possibilities and so on.
      Evolution to be observed just like in cinema.

      Actually, the explanation for the origin of life on Earth is far less problematic from the scientific standpoint than from the theological one. To be clear, however, the theory of evolution does not attempt to explain the origin of life, simply how life progressed (evolved) from the initial biological molecule to the complex and varied forms of life we have on the world today. Going back to the origin of life (abiogenesis), while this is certainly an extraordinarily rare occurrence, there is estimated to have been (conservatively) about a billion planets in the universe that have the ‘right’ conditions for life to exist. Furthermore, we have to remember that it took approximately a billion years for this occurrence to take place on Earth. Given this, and given that we (I.e., life) exists and we are able to observe/think about these notions means that it did occur - this is the anthropic principle. This is a far more plausible explanation than the “god of gaps” argument, that claims some all-powerful being created life out of nothing; the problem with this is, put simply, who (or what) created the creator? The possibility that some infinite, and infinitely complex, being could exist and could create something as complex as life - or the universe- is way less likely than the statistical probability of abiogenesis.

      @whoff59 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The single-celled organisms living today are obviously still fit enough getting ressources for their life.
      The single cell in the beginning of this video was *not* the very first cell but just the one which was predecessor of the single- or multi-celled organisms we have nowadays. The other ones simply died out in billions of years.
      And that single cell was not the first at all. It had predecessors. Some of them were more simple, and had predecessors that were even more simple and so on.
      In the beginning we just need some chemical objects and a replicating process with something with a code (memory) and mutatations on it ... then the chemical objects which will replicate better will be more than those which do not.
      I mean: evolution can work not only on DNA but DNA can be a product of an evolution itself. Or proteins, or any other part of cell structures as well.
      This would be how "abiogenesis" could work.
      The amazing wonders in nature ... no god needed.

    Evolutionists have such colourful imaginations. They spin all these wonderful stories about how all life sprang from a single cell, and yet when you ask them how the first simple living cell was created from non-living matter, they don't have the FOGGIEST idea! Evolutionists can't string two sentences together without employing words like "maybe, perhaps, probably, might have, we think that, our best guess is that, most likely, a billion years ago, possibly," etc. All guesswork spun from their fertile imaginations. When I was younger and listened to evolutionists talk, I used to amuse myself by tracking the number of times they used all these words of uncertainty. If you told an evolutionist there was a frog which got kissed by a princess and turned into a prince, the evolutionist would call it a fairy tale. But if you said a million years ago there was a frog and the frog evolved into a rat and the rat evolved into an ape and the ape evolved into a prince, the evolutionist is prepared to believe it.

    The main issue with the Theory of Evolution is that it cannot explain the reality of consciousness/free will. Evolutionists will simply dismiss consciousness as an illusion because it doesn't make sense in a materialistic world. This is the main reason I believe creation is a more rational explanation to the origin of life than evolution.
    Also Biological Complexity, Paranormal Activity, and existence of Jesus are more reasons creation makes more sense over evolution imo.

      You don't need to use the word, 'evolutionist', any more than you would need to use the word, 'gravityist' or 'roundearthist'..
      'Evolutionary theory is the fundamental, unifying theory that underlies all the life sciences. It has formed the basis of productive and active research for over 140 years and continues to do so. This is why evolution is universally accepted among professional biology researchers'.
      -- National Center for Science Education
      Evolutionary theory is not supposed to explain everything; it mainly explains the biodiversity of life on Earth.
      Human consciousness research is conducted by biologists, sure, but it's mainly an area of research conducted by scientists working in fields such as psychology, linguistics, neuropsychology, neuroscience..( biology related, of course, but evolutionary biologists/ geneticists mainly focus their research in other areas concerning life)
      Remember that in science, there is no higher level of explanation than a theory. Scientific theories explain facts.
      Evolution is not a matter of belief, or opinion, it's just the way life on earth works, which is why evolutionary theory is one of the most well evidenced, robust theories in the history of science.
      Disclaimer: I'm not saying there is no God or Creator. :-)
      Evolution is an observed fact of life, and evolutionary biology is applied science, in areas such as agriculture, and most importantly, medicine, which is why there is a field of science called *evolutionary medicine*
      Remember that when it comes to science, it doesn't matter if something seems difficult for you to believe, or if something seems to not make sense, since science is not about what 'makes sense'. Quantum mechanics doesn't make sense to most people, but it's real and it works.
      Evolution may not make sense to you, but it's real, and it's how life works.

    • @davidfellows1650
      @davidfellows1650 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thehowlingjoker I'm questioning the theory. Sticking with the butterfly example, the theory means that a butterfly would firstly need to decide on a genetic mutation that would benefit its species in a billion years time, and then pass on that genetic mutation (or the start of it) in just 1 day. Why and how would that happen?

    • @thehowlingjoker
      @thehowlingjoker 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@davidfellows1650 Well for starters the butterfly doesn't choose anything, rather it will have been born with a change in its' genetics that is in some regard beneficial and thus, said butterfly is more likely to succeed in surviving and passing on those genetics to the next generation.
      If its offspring also inherit that new change in genetics, then they too would be more likely to survive and reproduce, passing the genetics on further.
      This process over several generations can cement that genetic change in the population, in other words, as those with the gene are more successful in breeding, that gene becomes more widespread as more generations are born with the gene.
      Over enough generations, that gene could become entirely dominant in the population of butterflies, and subsequent generations could inherit other changes that compound upon the previous genes.
      So in short, the gene is successful as it spreads throughout the population over reproductive generations. Each generation increasing the number of individuals in the population with that gene.
      Does that help explain things?

      The first animal we call 'monkey' evolved from another kind of primate ancestor, which evolved from another kind of mammalian tetrapod animal, which evolved from some other form of vertebrate animal probably, which evolved from another multi-cellular organism, and how long should I go on? New species won't just pop up magically. A deer won't suddenly give birth to a whale. It's a spectrum where all similar living organisms are on. The changes are gradual and cumulative, and happen over a significant amount of time, millions or billions of years, and over countless generations and mutations. In short-lived and rapidly breeding species these changes can be observed easier. Once the changes between different generations and lineages are significant enough that they are distinguishable from another kind of animal population, we call it a new species.

      Since the start of Christianity there have been upheavals concerning christian teachings. The most drastic being when Martin Luther came along and decided some of the teachings of the church were wrong and protested those teachings, forming Protestants. But then Protestants argued amongst themselves regarding biblical teachings and formed other divisions. So today you have Protestants, Baptists, Calvinists, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Catholics, Presbyterians, Anglicans, Methodists, on and on. There are hundreds if not more different denominations of Christian churches ALL believing that they are the one true church following the true and righteous path.
      And that doesn't even take into account the untold number of people that believe Islam, or Judaism or Hinduism is the true and proper religion. It's insane.
      If the truth is important to you, you'll embrace the scientific method.
      Science, unlike religion, does not make truth claims. Science provides models that are the best explanation of the current available evidence. Those models are subject to testing and subject to revision, so that when we find new information we actually modify what the scientific model is. These are not proclamations of truth or certainty at all but merely our best understanding of all the available information AT THAT TIME. It is the most intellectually honest and intellectually rigorous process that I am aware of.

Would there not be bones of the dead in transition everywhere , because according to evolutionists theory it is continuous so evidence should be everywhere ! They should not even have to look that hard ! And evolutionists claim the earth is billions of years old and dinosaurs are millions of years old yet if that were true the marrow in the dinosaurs bones would be dust at best ! @@Xarai Actually, according to faith, one believes first. However, according to science, it's the scientists job to provide evidence for something observable and repeatable. So, please provide, simple evidence for evolution, and explain it as simply as possible for the poor, simple-minded of faith in dusty old books, okay? And then everyone will not just believe it like you do, but will also know it like you do, since it isn't special, hidden knowledge that makes evolution work, right? Please just explain the evidence and cite the proof, as simply as you can, because, remember, you were compelled to use insults and to ask a person of faith to provide evidence for something you understand to be invisible, and based on faith alone. So, it really is the job of the scientist to give the evidence, and not vice versa. This should be easy for someone so smart as you, and please, refrain from further insults by statements such as, "It's too complicated, and you wouldn't understand." That isn't the fault of the observer who is asking to know the evidence. It is a scientific fact, right? Then please, make it clear, even just explain something as simple as why an eyelash grows a certain length, as opposed to hair on the top of the head that keeps growing. One mutation gone wrong there, and you'd have a blind mutation! Go slowly, and speak deliberately, then, in explaining the evidence for evolution. Thanks!

      Evolution is a man made theory. The theory of the big bang explosion, is crazy as all human life is far too complex to be an accident. Every living thing on this earth has to be designed and created. God is the creator.
      Next scientists will be saying that humans will eventually evolve into snakes or elephants. Surely if one thinks how complex the brain is and what it can do, it had to be designed. God created all life on this planet. He made the world In six days and rested on the seventh.
      The bible is the truest book because its the word of God. If you see how worse the world is getting all the time, there is only one answer, the Lord Jesus christ. Believe in him and you shall be saved .
