Okay first of all the ones that we saw were in the biome votes So the palm trees the meerkat The baobab tree the ostrich All of that will eventually come because unlike the mob votes they're going to implement every single one It's just that depending on which one has more priority. So far we have gotten taiga, mountain and swamp update. So automatically the next biome update is either Badlands or Savannah. Desert won't come until after savannah gets updated. It got voted out last which was disappointing cuz i voted for that
As for other mobs like the crab and the penguin never again. Unfortunately the mob votes make it so that they will be shelved. I hope they at least add the illusioner and because they have it in the game so they can implement it.

But ever since Microsoft bought Minecraft, the updates took longer because all ideas came from more people. Mojang takes a lot of time and careful thinking into what to add to Minecraft to make a balanced impact to the game. Also remember that all new updates must be coded individually to both Java and Bedrock edition. So I don’t think they work badly, it’s probably because it is what happens when you are being run under a big company. So please appreciate all the time and effort Mojang and his employees put into the game.
