Do you love architecture as much as I do?! I love watching house tours from around the world and today I’m sharing the Airbnb we stayed in this weekend while visiting Yufuin, Japan. Yufuin is a cute little onsen (Japanese hot spring) town that has great food, art, views, and of course ONSENS! MANY of the airbnbs here have their own private onsen which is great if you want to take a soak with your significant other (many public baths are separated by gender) or if you have tattoos which are prohibited at a lot of places.
Yufuin is only 2.5 hours away from Sasebo and makes for the perfect little weekend getaway. It is a great place to go in the winter for the onsens and a beautiful place to go in the fall for the amazing colors of the trees. It’s about 30-minutes outside of Beppu so if you want to make it a longer weekend and explore there it is easy to tack on!
The place we stayed at was a quick 5-minute walk from Kinrin Lake and the Yunotsubo Walking Street where all of the shops are located. It is in the absolute perfect place if you just want to park your car and go by foot everywhere! We had a great time and I would absolutely recommend staying there! It is linked below.
Like I mentioned in the video I really wanted to enjoy my time with my friends and husband (he was gone for 7 weeks) so I didn’t vlog the weekend, but instead made an aesthetic little house tour for you all to enjoy. It rained most of the weekend so we got the most of the Airbnb and played board games and soaked in the onsen. We ate so much amazing food and drove into Beppu to try out the sand baths. I’ll share some of the places we ate below as well as a few other things worth seeing in the area!
