Dear Laney and Shawn, thank you so much for your video, that s amazing. I m from north of Portugal and i have no idea that Galícia was so beautiful. My family and i Will do the same tour as you for sure. One more time thanks. Continue the good job, it s a pleasure to see your good mood and happiness
Thanks so much for your kind words. ❤
Days We Spend, gracias por retratar a la hermosa Galicia. Mi país-
❤️
I enjoyed this video! It's a fantastic addition to your Camino videos, especially for those of us interested in exploring Galicia. There's so much to discover, and your videos are incredibly helpful in planning trips. Please keep making more of these!
Thanks so much!!!
More enjoyable content from you two. Looks magical.
Thanks so much!
This was magical. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Another great video!
Thanks so much!
Part 2 was just as great as part 1! I love how much fun you guys have and the goofy faces you make 😂.
Thanks so much! ❤️
As always, the video was beautiful and informative. I watched it several times, and the best way to watch it was on a 65" smart HD TV. WOW. 🤩, Part 1 and Part 2 took us to Galicia. It's a new travel destination. Thank you
Thank you so much! 🥰
Very pretty. Another awesome video!
Thank you! ❤️
That was awesome!!! We loved it, thanks for sharing your tour. Just “binge watched” both vids(don’t know how we missed part one, last week). The reason we loved this so much is that, this is how we’ve been visiting Spain for the last 10 years( been coming almost once a year since 2003). We rent a car the get an apartment in Suances or Cangas de Onis and just drive around for two weeks. Every detour/ side road or little beach access road is another amazing photo. Good job sharing this. We LOVE northern Spain. But that’s our secret
We're so glad you loved it! Spending your Spain trips in the North is fantastic. We can't wait to check out more of Asturias and Cantabria, too.
Es GALICIA.
You guys got better weather heading south. I love those hórreos (barns). They're very typical of Galicia and Asturias. They serve two purposes, keep the grains dry bc it rains a lot around there and to keep the pests out as well. All that area looks very pretty, very unspoiled. The weather seems similar to northern CA, OR. However the soil and rocks are different, that looks like granite, volcanic rocks, and other types of stones.
We love the hórreos too! We definitely got some better weather further south.
Es la hermosa Galicia, amigo Carlos.
Wow! I remember your Honda Element videos and found you because I have been researching Galicia! I’ll keep on watching and learning from you. Thanks for the videos!
That's amazing!!! We miss our Element a LOT! But we love it in Galicia.
@@DaysWeSpend i’m close to retiring and trying to figure out what my travel schedule will look like because I plan on doing slow travel and coming back to the US two or three times a year where if I keep my element, I can go do road trips when I come home so many decisions but so much fun!
@@ncalcamper Those are big decisions!
I love ride with you guys! Very enjoyable and informative! Already we watched de Santiago de Compostela video, took notes and August 13th we will follow your steps. We will 2 weeks in Rianxo ( we bought a house, is under renovation) and driving around, of course definitely see Orense and the termas waters . Thanks. Nestor from California
Thanks so much. Enjoy Rianxo and your coastal road trip!
Greetings from Coruña! I love your videos, yours is a great channel. I like Galicia´s coast very much, and it´s great that you liked it too. I also loved the Camino de Invierno videos , where you passed through Las Medulas: another place that I love. You missed some great places , Cabo Ortegal, Faro de Punta Nariga, Cabo Vilano...but actually you had no time. You may also like to walk some stages (or all of them) of the Camiño dos Faros, from Malpica to Finisterre, by coastal fisherman´s paths.
I´m hoping for your next videos!
Bye!
There are so many great places we missed! Next time, we definitely want to see more. We’ve got our eyes on the coastal walks. 😃
It's just beautiful throughout. Plus, it was sunny on an off-season.
I'd be sitting on that bench eating bread with jamon while enjoying the view. Wouldn't complain one bit.
Thank you!
Hey guys,
Great episode!!. You given ideas for our next trip to Galicia.
I understand avoiding the toll roads... we've just spent 4 weeks driving in and out of Spain and Portugal doing just that 👍 It's a better way to see the the country.
Check out Cies island if you haven't already... so beautiful. We went on 16 May, so not busy, but rainy, sunny, rainy sun ... Galician weather 😂.
Adiós
Thanks so much! We hope to visit Cies Island soon!
😀😀😀😀😀 is magic place the coast
It is!
Great video! I would like more like this, please. Lainey, your Members Only jacket reminds me of the one I had in high school 40 years ago 😂
Thank you! The jacket was my grandfather’s. It’s from the 80s 😎
@@DaysWeSpend Ouch! I suddenly feel old. 🥸
@@me-lg1yw 🤣
I know all those places. I live less than one hour. 😁
It's so enjoyable without tourists in summer. 👍
They're beautiful spots!
Have you visited, Carreira, Riveira and Aguino, I believe its just under 2 hours from Orense
Not yet! We'll add it to our list!
Do you wish now that you had moved to a coastal town instead of Ourense? Those are some truly stunningly beautiful beaches!
We love the beaches but we also love Ourense. We appreciate the slightly lower cost of living inland and we have the termas.
@DaysWeSpend inland is so much more affordable pretty much anywhere!
they were close to Castro Baroña recommed time
We'll put it on our list for next time!
Hi Shawn and Laney ,thank you for sharing your tour! I was born in Spain Carreira/ Ribeira region of, La Coruna . My parrents and 2 sisters left Spain and headed to the us in the 1970...I had visited spain several times, but hopefully would like to reire there soon, maybe this year. My brother-inlaw is from Ourense, how do you like it there, ? I was there only once to visit. I hear its quite quite now. My sister keeps telling me that I would like it back in Spain , its relaxed compared to the US... The homes are 1/3 of the cost and the taxes and community fees are practically nothing when compared to the usa of $10,000 a year for a $500,000 home....I also heard that Spain has Ghost towns that the goverment wants to repopulate and is practically giving homes away for a low cost. Any recommendations that you can share, willl be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy Touring
We love it in Ourense. Even in the last 1.5 years, there have been many changes here.
Taxes on homes are cheaper here than the US, but the tax on income, wealth, and assets are MUCH higher.
Do the Random!
Haha! YES!
Probalamente el caballo no hable ingles. Sitting on a bench, taking it all in, is one of lifes great pleasures. Enjoyed the video, thanks.
😄 El caballo definitivamente hablaba español 😝 Glad you enjoyed it!
Does mean that you’re planning to do the Camino del Mar?
Maybe! We're looking at it but no guarantees yet! (It looks incredible)
@@DaysWeSpend I have been considering a two week Camino starting in Ribadeo and doing the Norte but now your video makes me want to do the Del Mar to the Ingles!!!!!
@@abukyle1999 Oooh, We really want to do that combo too! The Norte from Ribadeo passes through some really magical towns.
Love the random crap! The world needs more joyous random crap. Thx 😊
LOL. Agree!
