What's the point of tasting the food? The audience can't taste the food. Delia has always been a teacher - she shows her audience what the food should look like in every stage of preparation
Because back then it just wasn’t the done thing. Look at early Mary Berry compared to her later shows. I blame Nigella and her rather disgusting squelchy chewing of everything she makes.
I want to move in with Delia. You just know that every evening meal will be delicious and the bedsheets will be clean and ironed. Love her.
