    I particularly liked (aka hated) how the turbolasers on the hyperspace ring suddenly turned into WWII era anti-aircraft rounds, that EXPLODE near their target. You know, the way lasers do.

    personally, I'm not sure what ships shin and Marrok had but from what I've seen it looks pre clone wars era which would explain weaker fire power, but I don't think they were shooting main ship components while Ahsoka was on the wing. it looks like they just focused fire power on Ahsoka herself and she has had plenty of training defending a ship from gunfire it also seemed to be an amazing reference to Plo Koon the master she fonds most.

    There are different type of laser weapons in star wars. These seem like very weak lasers that are very small and easily blocked by a lightsaber but if you showed me a Tie-Fighter in this scene and Ashoka deflecting a blast from a Tie, then that is a joke.

    • @starwarsgrandmoff

      In the Clone Wars there are scenes of lightsabers deflecting ships shooting at them.

      @@starwarsgrandmoff Ok but what are the specifics? What type of ships? What type of guns? Are we talking turbo lasers being deflected by a light saber or the equivalent of a light machine gun being deflected. Like I said for me it depends on the ship, in this scene you showed I dont think its that crazy but if you replace those ships with Tie Fighters then very valid point.

    • @starwarsgrandmoff
      @starwarsgrandmoff  ปีที่แล้ว

      @TheKascoos I can have a look. They are obviously light powered guns but they must have been designed with the solo purpose of taking out other ships right? As they are fighters.

    • @KaseyHatton
      @KaseyHatton ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@starwarsgrandmoff True that but there are different class types of starfighters. Bombers, Interceptors, Gunship, ect. I feel as though the ones in this scene would be Interceptors and wookipedia describe Interceptors as "a range of starfighters that usually emphasized speed and agility over versatility and firepower, sometimes at the expense of ordnance payloads, life support, or hyperdrive capabilities.". Does this mean that a lightsabre should be able to deflect the the lasers, I dont know haha.

    You could argue that they got weaker fighters but why have the weakest ship lasers ever seen in starwars to attack ashoka what was the point scare tactics? Got a whole team together just to scare her and let the henchmen die just cuz? How about just get literally any other fighters i mean even the sound of the lasers sounded like miniature uzis attached… fckin pea shooters! Tie fighters have scarier guns did these enemies really think “oh hell yeah thisll do shes gonna hear our blasts bouncing off her hull and just pull over hehehe😈” or even better just dont film it like that show some master piloting atleast that would have translated better than just oh i guess the ship is completely fine

    • @starwarsgrandmoff

    I honestly had the exact same take away as you did, I want to like this show so badly. One of the first things I noticed during the space fight was how predictable and low stakes it was, it was almost like Shin & Co were told not to actually hit Ahsoka's ship. This whole show deflates me as someone who is really diehard for some quality star wars content. Sabine being trained as a Jedi sounds like its something silly your friend would suggest as a hypothetical "what if Sabine was force sensitive" like fml they shit on their own cannon with such ease its insulting to the people who actually spend hours learning and enjoying SW lore and engaging with the SW community regarding theories and such. FAR too much rebels content in this show for me to actually consider it an Ahsoka series, she's in it yes, has predictably easy fights against irrelevant minions - yes, but this could straight up be called the Sabine show at this point. Just because Ahsoka appeared in the Rebels show doesn't mean her series needs to be handheld by the live action version of realistically the shittiest animated SW show I've watched, they had SUCH a broad span of time to flesh out her story and develop her character more. I'm not even a hater too, that's what sucks about this for me, I really want to like this show and it seems that any kind of critique gets met with casual fans/viewers basically telling the more hardcore fans to chill. SW content is a daily part of my life and its really shit to see it mishandled to this degree, it has all the goods but no guidance, no learning from prior mistakes. Seems they intend on branding the force through this Disney bullshit lens of "everyone can do it" so they can market shit to the masses like they always do. If everyone can use the force by the end of this series I'm genuinely disillusioned from it and that's sad to say.

      Also the amount of people out here trying to defend the show for very obvious lapses in judgement, effort, or storytelling is wild to me. If you love something and its beginning to suck its more beneficial to point out the flaws so it can improve rather than literally bending over backwards to find really shallow points to defend the show usually from a speculative or "off screen" understanding/pov. If you have to pause the show like 15 times to try and discern if the bad guys are actually incompetent there's something missing from the storytelling/direction.

    • @raytholus8235
      @raytholus8235 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also (I'm reading some of the comments defending this shit and wincing), YES THE FORCE EXISTS IN ALL BEINGS BUT NOT EVERYONE IS FORCE SENSITIVE! It is not something you can toggle on because you really really wanna use the force or train enough and unlock as a skill. Chirrut Îmwe from rogue one (blind monk guy) was able to grow (through training) attuned to the force somewhat but could not wield it. Individuals exist in SW where you cant force choke someone or levitate a rock like force sensitives can, but you can become somewhat proficient in certain areas such as reactivity to your opponent in combat. THIS WILL NEVER BE TO THE SAME DEGREE AS A FORCE SENSITIVE. If you are born with a high midichlorian count (minimum 7000 to join the Jedi order) you will be able to use it, channel it, and so on. If you do not meet this criteria you will NEVER be able to increase your number of midichlorians. Sabine will NEVER based upon the established canon, be able to use the force so making her a Jedi disciple is redundant. Also fun note, Sabine is not force sensitive which means in combat she has no manner of force resistance like typical force users do (this is what prevents someone like Sidious from just force choking Yoda to death) she can literally get ragdolled around at any point in the fight by even a padawan/apprentice like Shin.
