These are urban otters. They are used to people watching and taking photos/recording them. The condo guards and private houses owners hate them. Their koi ponds are often raided by these naughty otters. They seem to be able to smell the fishes from far away.
Sure, I'd like more otter videos, maybe you could splice them together in one long video? And are there other wildlife in Singapore worth filming? Any special birds in the parks?
Paula, thanks for your suggestion. People who watch TH-cam usually watch a few minutes. Usually between 2 to 4 minutes, and they close and move on to other videos. Only subscribers who really liked the channel will watch the whole video. Therefore if I splice the videos together, only the 1st episode gets watched and the rest will be skipped. So I will keep to short videos for now ☺☺ There are other wild life in Singapore like monkeys, iguanas, squirrels, wild boars and crocodiles. It's too dangerous to film them. A lady was attacked by a wild boar this week and was seriously injured. I wouldn't want to get near the crocodiles at the wetlands. I might get eaten by them. There's a brand new Bird Paradise that will have a soft opening next week. I have work and hope to be able to make time to visit and film it. Singapore has one of the world's best zoo (probably the Best zoo). I'm sure this Bird Paradise will be one of the best too.
wah I never spotted otters in this area. 01:09 otters seem to be very good cave diggers. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a large hole under the concrete here.
I am lucky. I happen to come across otters at different places in Singapore. Yes, there's a large hole under the pavement. I think that's their home till the pubs grow bigger. Then they will look for bigger places or split up.
Wow, it's amazing. Thank you for sharing the video of smooth-haired otter families adapting to city life.Have a nice weekend.👍🏼

I was lucky that they ran towards me on the way to their home.
It's amazing how they have no fear of people. Excellent results from the iPhone.

@@SingaporeCityWalks Oh, I didn't know many people have so short attention span. And I also didn't know there are crocs in Singapore!
Did npark fence up the tree where the otter is hole in?
Yes, NPark fenced up the area and put up notice to let people know the do’s and donts when approaching otters
MARINA BAY ALSO HAVE OTTERS?
Yes Marina Bay have Otters. I have not seen them lately. They might have gone over to the Bay South side near the Cloud Forest/Marina Barrage area.

This is getting out of hand
You mean the otter population is getting too big?
