Great tips! Will try them next year in Norway. Caught a 40" white halibut recently on my spinning rod. Now I'm addicted, trying to find bigger ones next year.
Thanks! so with no tide and no wind if I move the boat at .7 mph with the bow mount motor will I catch... or do I have to wait for the tide to pick up to .7 ?
You may catch a few but the natural current and tide is what triggers that bite. The .7 mph drift speed is right about when that peak, 30-minute feeding window happens. Great question.
@@nextdriftfishing Yeah I watch your channel a lot. I’m gonna try the lobster pot drift. I got plenty of those where I fish. Thank you for you Chanel and your hard work.

Great tips, i found using a heavy weighted treble hook and dragging on bottom around lobster pots works too
That's a great idea, James! You should try that the next time we're out! That will make a great episode of Next Drift!

Do you fish for fluke near plum gut? Thanks again
We don't Fluke fish in Plum Gut during the peak of the current but I'm sure there's some big ones there at the end of the tides... ;)
Great tips. Keep them coming. I have also seen a slower jigging motion produce good sized fluke.
Thank you for all your educational videos.
Thank you for watching Bob! I really appreciate it! - JT

Thanks a lot for watching Thomas!

Thanks lewis!
JT I just watched the trip we took two years ago.
We'll get out again this year, bud! Last year was a little bit of a mess with motor issues. I hope you're doing well
Do fluke eat lobster ?
Absolutely! They'll eat anything they can find and fit in their mouths. We've caught Fluke with big Mantis Shrimp in them.
