On May 3rd 2024 I ordered a new STX Ranger from our local Ford dealer. The salesman was not happy when I told him I would only order it if I didn't have to get the dealership "add -ons". I put a $500.00 deposit down. The dealership gave me no paperwork at all and has kept me out of the loop. I finally called the salesman and asked to get my deposit back if my truck wasn't going to get built. He said Ford picked up my order the day after I put the deposit and I would have my Ranger by the end of August. Since I only have a pre-order number, Ford Corporation can't give me any info on my build. It's hard to get exited about my new vehicle when I have to deal with this dealerships shenanigans. I may have to order from a dealership outside of NM.

I sold my 24 C8 to a Ford dealership and ordered a f150, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. The chevy dealership kept me updated throughout the entire process of ordering my corvette(17 months) but this ford dealership is terrible with their communication. It's been a night and day difference, needless to say Chevy is better. I just hope I enjoy my truck when it finally does arrive....
