I was excited to see Edgerunners content in CP2077 because Edgerunners was AWESOME. The last thing I want to see in Witcher 3 is the Netflix Nilfgaardian armor.

@XanderDailyIt was already terrible, even with Henry. He couldn't save the show from the bad writing even though he tried his hardest. Now it is just going to be much worse. But there wasn't much to save even with Henry there.

Pay attention to the wood and bricks and rocks etc. I assure you they look incredible compared to what's in the current game. Idk if everything is gonna be 2k+ but your gonna see huge improvements in terms of the cities and settlements.
Also the water looks way better
well the biggest issue with the old game was the lod was pretty short so everything 50 meters infront of you was pretty much 240p texture

I brought this game on a sale for literal nothing the first week I had my PS5 and then they announced the update... I never played because of that; now I'm pretty excited for finally play this game as it was intended to be.

Side by side will be a very big difference. The mods they are using for textures are significantly better than the original.
Funny thing is a fact that at first you think "There's no difference at all" and then you notice light work and it looks amazing.

It really does look amazing and those new camera modes look incredible. Especially the close camera on roach, so much better then the stock game version. I’m sure side by side the difference would be night and day but it’s hard to tell when there’s no reference footage there. A lot of people remember the Witcher 3 looking incredible for its time so they over estimate how great it still looks and say there’s no difference with this next gen version when it really does look amazing.

Okay, I was expecting a little more than this based on how long its taken to get this out. I know it was impacted by the war in Ukraine but I thought Saber had worked on it for a while and CDPR would continue on from that.
Still, I'm sure it looks better but I can't really tell here. I need a side by side and proper analysis I think. But hey, I got the game so I'll get this update for free. As good of an excuse as any to replay this wonderful game.

I'm almost done with the main story but I'll definitely wait for the update before playing the DLCs. Super excited!
Then the best is yet to come. Ciri's adventure is superb, but the two DLC's....those are something else entirely.

Bethesda packed Skyrim into an anniversary edition and charged people $20 for it. CDProjectRed is doing just that and more and it's freaking FREE. These people at CDPR are world class people.

Without a side by side, is nearly impossible to spot the differences... other than the lack of nvidia hair works.
TBH even if this update offers slight to medium improvements to gameplay and graphics, I'm just glad witcher 3 is getting more attention now. Which means more people will be modding for the game as well and we'll get even more content for an already great game. definitely will make replaying amazing

What I love about remastered games is that it just shows me what I saw in my head originally when I first played the title.
I just replayed the game on PC earlier this year and it's not like it had bad graphics anyways. This looks almost the exact same with a little more shine

I notice the netflix optional armour changes but does it also come with the netflix skin colour randomizer so you can change 1/3rd of the characters non-white for no reason?
This may look the way you remember it but it doesn't look the same. Firstly the RTGI is immediately noticeable in a lot of shots, including the first one. It also includes 2 of the best mods out there (HD Reworked and extreme settings) along with new grass and foliage. Even on an RTX 3070 at 4k with mods this is a noticeable improvement.

Yea you can see the difference straight away but in terms of lightning i don't think realistic is always better than static light. The shot with dead tree are look not so cool in comparison to original, but more realistic...yay i guess? I hope there will be option to play with original lightning.
@@jetinsane1262 There will on Console, not sure about PC. But on console there will be a 30fps Ray Tracing mode or a 60fps non RT mode I believe. So you can get the old lighting back with the benefit of 60fps from the sounds of it. Personally I think the new lighting is an upgrade in every single shot but to each their own. 60fps is more important anyways, though.

@@Pidalin no, its not the same, the new realistic lightning ruined black contrasting shadows that was i think the part of visual language of the game. Google scene with dead tree in original, because of the lightning and shaodws it has different vibe.
Wow it looks sooo good. I think the Witcher always looked decent but it was showing it’s age graphically but the few actual gameplay snippets we got. It looks way better than the PS4 version

For console players it means a lot. I use to play it on my ps4 and then once it was on sale on steam, i bought again. So much better. Playing on ps4/Xbox then on ps5/series x, the difference will be much welcomed.

@@Jedi_Luke All the textures are way higher res, and they have ray tracing now. They still look like the same objects because they are keeping the same art direction and simply improving upon it. Game looks really good.

Getting the feeling I'll be using Geralt's Season 1 Netflix look as the default.
Say what you will about the show, Geralt always looked cool.
The Witcher 3 next gen upgrade got me more excited than any new release out now.
Played witcher 1 and 2 on pc fairly recently and going to play witcher 3 on xbox series x just for the comfort of console and can't wait!! Best Xmas gift this year. Dispite a rocky cyberpunk launch give them credit for rolling this upgrade out free of charge!! They could've asked for money but didn't, remember that!!
They could have GTA5-ed us.
Even worse for Xbox, these Rockstar Crooks asking $20 from us for 4K and ray tracing. Pfft

100 hours only ? Cute. I played it 33 times 120 hours each playtrough.
My mother played through this game twice completing everything, so I know she would have played it again with the new update. Sadly her right hand shakes constantly cause of her age, so she can't play games anymore ☹️
I picked up the game again and finished all side quest and one dlc( not yet finished with main story 🤣) Currently enjoying blood and wine and looking forward for the update 🥳

What bugs? I don't remember a single one, 100% complete on steam.
The bugs were mostly all squished after the first patch back in 2015.

@@Turican76 Not everything has to be Dark Souls though if that is what you fancy there is a mod for Witcher 3 called "Enhanced Edition" that basically turns the games combat into DarkSouls probably even harder as it does not slow down very fast enemies so your reaction time has to literally be a split second .
Please do not ruin it with the Netflix content...

I completed both GOTY edition and normal and got all achievements on both games. When I uprgrade them in december will I get to do all achievements again?

He can fight a bear but breaks his leg jumping from a small ledge kinda thing. Also had an issue with stairs. There was a mod to fix it so probs something similar implemented here. It's a very good thing for immersion.
Saying this with love for CDPR but - I'm pretty sure the game looked this way on * PC * back in 2015, is this a console-centered improvement?
no it didn't. never had ray tracing and the best texture pack is only 2k and doesn't cover everything

@@leeonardodienfield402Yeah, but it doesn't seem like the ray tracing features are going to be the most obvious ones or used in a limited fashion. If it was say ray traced reflections or a proper, fully implemented GI system it would probably been highlighted in the trailer. I'm guessing we'll get some ray traced shadows and possibly limited GI.

на самом деле изменений предостаточно, 4к текстуры, РТХ на консолях, улучшенная дальность прорисовки, фикс багов итд, плюс контент из сериала можно выключать.

Were you watching it on your phone? I watched it on a 4K big screen TV and I saw a ton of differences. But I also obsess about The Witcher 1, 2, 3 and have played and beat them all an insane amount of times.
