Bought yesterday, came with manual, cool booklet, soundtrack CD, dope ass map, stickers, and a thank you note. You don't even see that anymore in packaging, to top it off that shit had me playing 7 hours straight. This game is a fucking MASTERPIECE !!!

Kyrtaq it’s not the same. The witcher game was a trilogy and we got to really know the characters. So when you beat the game it almost feels like you lost yourself lol

+Sam Lewis Couldn't have summed it up better. I don't think I've ever had a better experience playing a video game from start to finish. EVER. This game wasn't even on my radar until it came out and hit front page on Steam, I had no idea what the Witcher even was. Thinking about those first 50 hours of gameplay gets me emotional even today.
The fact that I don't think that experience will ever be genuinely beaten saddens me greatly.

I agree. This will be the kind of game that others will try to model after for years to come. These games will never quite live up to your first experience with Witcher 3 though. It takes a company doing something that hasn't been done before, and to do that very well, before another game will deliver this kind of experience. I felt a similar way with FF7 back in the day and Vice City as well. They delivered an experience unlike any I could compare them to. This is what Witcher 3 is to me. A generation defining experience that delivers a feeling you will never be able to recreate. Awesome, awesome game.
I think this is the only game where I've gone back and found every quest, every side location, I would not stop until I'd ticket off every single question mark on that map. By far my favourite game of all time.

I haven't played a game 8 hours straight(some breaks for eating of course) since maybe final fantasy 8. This is one of the best games I've ever played. Top 10 for sure. At first I was overwhelmed but as I kept playing I kept getting more and more immersed..... Incredible!
wow good too see someone else who liked final fantasy 8 , or i assume you do... Yeah this si one of my fav games top 10 or top 20 here, yet to play the expansion pack too, one of the better new games in my opinion with fe awekning/fates, arkham city, u2 , portal 2, rdr , bioshock and mass effect 2 if we incl wii u, then we also have mario kart 8 and bayonetta . This game is great i have so far 349 hrs in it.
Still remember the first time watching this trailer and instantly knew this would be my favourite game. 7 years later it still is.
And now?
I just finished the game, hours and hours of gameplay. Clearing like 95% of the game. Now I'm depressed the story came to a close. 10/10 GOTY worhty.

@@dinglemeister364 took six days but here we go: The realistic graphics are necessary to truly express the foulness of some monsters as well as the harsh and brutal reality this game is set in, it does not romanticize its world but rather shows the naked truth, this is what the graphics (sometimes literally) are reflecting

I've got over 100 hours in Morrowind, 200 hours in Oblivion and 500+ hours in Skyrim... finally decided to check out the Witcher series.

Witcher is fucking *PERFECT*. I didn't believe all the hype and kept on sticking to modding Skyrim... got tired of all the CTDs and crashes.. the anxiety of playing and wondering if it would freeze. Spent more time modding the fucking game than actually playing, never even touched Dragonborn or Dawnguard (yet I downloaded them both). Give the Witcher series a shot, it really is game of the decade.
dude you made the right decision! although I begann to love and adore the series first with the second part which I randomly choosed to buy and got instantly crazily amazed by the characters and the story. I recomend to read the books too..they are also awesome!
Totally agree, read the books! They are fantastic and they tie in really well with the games. I played all the games, read the first few books (I don't have the time right now to read them all) and then started my 3rd play through of Witcher 3 and so many things made a lot more sense; like when they talk about things that happened before time the games started and you're like "hey I remember that because I read about it in the book!". Plus they are AMAZING on their own.

No idea. I hate digital books so I bought the paper copies. If you can't find them online and decide that you'll read paperback, they are pretty cheap and I was able to find them at my local bookstore right next to the Game Of Thrones books.
yeah I would recommend reading the paperbacks too...dunno if you got a tablet but I don't so paperbacks you can read for example in the bath tub (:D) or in bed before you sleep...(which you can also if you got a tablet but as I said I don't own one so I don't know how it is reading on them)
I just finished my first playthrough of the Witcher 3 and I have to say, it reminded me of why I play video games in the first place. I was fearing that a shift in my life was happening, as i've gotten older my free time has become more sparse and i've been hesitant to give it up to video games because no matter how flashy the graphics or the initial entry point into the created worlds, The glamour and effect of a new game has begun to wear off on me more and more rapidly. When I was younger my brother and I had a couple of shared experiences of playing together cooperatively on games that would takes us a year or more to complete. Through the trials and tribulations we became extremely immersed in the worlds these games created and fully invested in the characters. Finally completing them was a fully emotional experience (this only happened for us with two games. very rare indeed.) For a young kid with a big wide imagination stepping into another realm and exploring and questing was a dream come true and one I committed to very seriously and connected to. As i've grown older, I've been anywhere from casual to avid gamer throughout the past couple of years and though I've become no less willing to chase titles and try new experiences, the novelty of most games wears thin quickly and I have found most experiences mildly disappointing. After semi-bland experience to semi-bland experience I started to think of video games as mild sedatives (short reprieves from the 'real world' used until one becomes bored.) I'd forgotten what a true gaming experience was like, and had begun to fear that perhaps my childhood naivety was what made the experiences magic and not the games themselves (and to a certain degree that is true.) However, the Witcher 3 reminded me of what I had forgotten. It reminded me of why I play video games in the first place. A video game can be art, vast and enthralling and expansive, immersive, witty, fluid, challenging, chilling, and heartbreaking. I dove into the Witcher 3 and not only was it so beautifully crafted and rendered in its' voice acting, combat system, environments, plot and intrigue, but IT TOOK TIME. I have been obsessively playing the game for about a month and a half, relishing every last detail. And when the time came to part ways I, quite unexpectedly, welled up with tears. I waited until the end of the credits to the inevitable switch back to Geralt, and took a long last stroll through the empty ruins of Kaer Morrhen, found a nice rock by a stream in the woods and took a last pan of the environment, watching a flock of birds cross the sky, deer nibble on grass beside the riverbed, and clouds enshroud the tips of far-off mountain peaks. I watched Geralt watch the scene, knowing that I will most likely put this game away for a good long while while I digest it and move forward with my life, and I just soaked in the detail for a good moment before clicking my system off. Unforgettable experience. I will cherish it.

Dude, you've written exactly what I've been feeling these days. As much as I wish to, but couldn't enjoy all these new flashy titles, except a few of them(Hell Blade is really good). I've started with Witcher 3, hope I'll get to relive my childhood experience.

Seeing how difficult it was too make Cyberpunk 2077 and how it turned out, makes it feel like a miracle that The Witcher 3 happened.
the release was pretty bad, but cyberpunk is still a great game, and that map cant be beat! Really hope they make a mutli player with that map. Cyberpunk is the reason I bought this game yesterday, and just playing till past the tutorial, I can say the witcher 3 looks likes its gonna be great!

+ekxdeee A masterpiece.Hands down the best game ive ever played. It does a pretty good job of explaining the previous games. I do suggest however that you play witcher 2 aswell since it is a good game. I wasn't even into rpgs till I played witcher 3. I played over 120 hours on my first play through and I still had so much to explore. So many side quests, stellar soundtracks,So many Witcher contracts and a huge lively world. Also the story is freaking awesome and it will give you lots of feels. The combat is great once you get the hang of it and the upgrading system is fun. Try playing it on broken bones or death march as I found the game kinda easy on lower difficulty settings. If you own a platform with the necessary specs for the game then it should be on top of your priority list. Honestly it really is that good. (Don't forget to play hearts of stone and blood and wine too)

Yeah, it's really ironic. They criticize the witcher for having a weak story(I have no idea how they came to such a conclusion, the story was amazing), and yet MGSV, whose story IS actually weak, they don't take away points from it because it 'doesn't take away from the experience'. Who is here after watching the Witcher series from Netflix. This piece of music also most of the other scores in the game are simply amazing and better that the TV series but the series too does a decent job in bringing the witcher lore to TV format.
The last scene from the series, felt like the scene were Geralt finds Ciri in the Isles of Mist, don't you think?

I just finished the game and hos dlc today after I finish bow I'm going to not play it again even though I want to beacause I've been playing since early 2020 but I'll come back to it in a couple years
I just cried watching this trailer...I miss Geralt, Ciri, Triss, Yen, and Dandelion.
Five years after I played this game, its stories still hit me in many ways.
It is THE game that taught me that video games as a form of storytelling have the potential to exceed other forms.
Watching this and knowing every scene, all the back-stories to them all, how they all turned out (and not always for the best)... tears to the eyes. I love this game, and this trailer does it amazing justice. Epic song too.

This trailer is perfect to watch right after you finish your playthrough. It's like revisiting all the best moments, and seeing your friends. No other game made me care for characters like if they were real. This game is a definition of masterpiece.

+Bk Big Fish That's exactly what happened to me. Played the story trough 2 times (playing it 3rd time right now) and 1st time i got the shitty ending and 2nd time got the Ciri becomes wither ending.
Literally, Ciri died, Geralt died, Yennefer lost a loved one and Triss was left sad because i wasn't able to leave to Kovir with her, just because i didn't have a fucking snow fight with Ciri. When you say that out loud, it sounds stupid as fuck, and it is stupid as fuck.
+Game-Caliber is not only the snowball fight... Is also left ciri go alone with the loge, go with her to Skall funeral and destroy Avallach laboratory

I haven't tried Witcher 3 until beginning of 2020. When I first started playing the game I was glued to the screen. Finished this game two times already and I still play to this day mainly wandering and admiring this beautiful open world and I'm not going to stop.
I bought this game with complete edition recently and I can't stop playing this. I being playing almost 2 weeks.
It's a year later and I'm just replaying this game now... and it's still blowing me away. Probably the best game I've ever played.
Just coming back to watch this beautiful trailer again. I wish I could relive this whole game experience.

This game begs the question, should games really be this perfect. You will never look at games the same way again, this game will take a part of you with it once you fully complete it. Not because of issues with gameplay or storyline, but because it's perfect and you know subconsciously that you won't find anything better.
