Have had these hubs on a single axle skiff trailer that I bought new in 2018 from ameritrail. Those caps are very tempemental. New trailer hub cap on one side leaked from factory. Replaced the cap with a vortex direct replacement. Leaked again a few months later. Replaced with a dexter cap, still no good. I expect it's a out of square mating surface on that hub. Other hub has had no issues. Have over 40k on these hubs and while they have leaked, i just re inject the grease at the zirk till its deep blue, and they still run cool after 7hr drives.
If you use anything on your studs make sure you check the lug nuts occasionally because they are not really meant to be lubed and you can’t get the proper torque on the nuts due to the lubrication.

Do you suggest no lubricant? Is anti-seize the same value as lube?
