BTW - I’ve been in two bass clubs so far (not fly fishing). Clubs are like people: they’re not for everyone. Some are great, some are frustrating, some are helpful and teach you how to improve your game, some make you want to break every rod you own and sink your boat. It’s a mixed bag for sure.
I hear some backbiting is going on around Texas clublife these days. I am happy to interview any disagreeing voice! JUST STEP RIGHT UP. I am easy to find, and really appreciate your opinions. I do not ambush interview. Besides, you already see - this video is my view (now in 2024). Bring proof if you need it.
I'm in my late 30s and I feel like the odd one out around fly fishing club members. Local membership is definitely a homogenized demographic too. I don't really have an interest in joining a club at the moment.

All TRUE!
After 1 year of being the president of a bass club, I quit club fishing, it's like herding cats. :)
Great job Shannon!
I'm probably blackballed from the secret handshake now!
