Heroes come out every paired season we in season 7. We get him season 8 then the dps hero in 10 then the new healer in 12. Season 8 is december, for 1 season is 2 months in length.

I feel like his ult would be great for stopping overtime as you can rush in to the enemy’s route to the objective and place the trap and now their entire team unless they have a symmetra can’t get to the objective

Because of the rocks contract he is now, OP, invincible.
I feel Mauga Will be incredibly good against Brawler and Dive comps, but will have a hard time against Poke.
His kit is designed to punish characters who stay too close to him and encourage teammates to be more agressive, but his range makes him struggle with teams that play more safely, i can see Sigma being a good counter to him, Ana obviously, and Widowmaker will be a nightmare for him, since he has no shields and a giant head hitbox.

seems kinda like a mix of several tanks combined, rein with the charge ball with the stomp and weapons, temp health on (critical) hit from doom, ult kinda like zarya ig

Mechanically Magua works more like Raum from Paladins. Both have a minigun which gives them health as over health when they hurt enemies, and both have a juggernaut charge. Although they have differences, but they work under the same archetype.

Sombra can delete his ult if she’s outside by emp (you prob will if u sneaky) if you are in you can’t escape, sym can use tele to get teammates out of cage, orisa can get out by fortify, Magua technically escape but only if he is charging while going through the cage

I can’t believe he doesn’t like the sound of the guns, the main reason I like Orisa is because of her gun sounds. There’s something so satisfying about laying down 50 feet of lead.
It's just very loud and grating. A lot of the OW2 sounds are. I completely stopped playing Ana for sound reasons alone because her gun was giving me a headache compared to what it was before.
now that the chat mentioned he really do feel like Raum from Paladins, the Minigum, the passive of gaining Shields by dealing damage, the unstoppable rush, the hitbox of a mountain. now i know why i love him so much hehe
As a Raum player myself, I 100% agree.
Fun fact: he can crit Orisa when she’s fortified if she’s burning

I agree, it's better to release something OP than too weak. With Muaga I honestly he just needs some tweaks here and there to his kit and he would be perfect.
but he's really weak, any other tank is so much better. And he gets melted in 5 secs
He's actually pretty balance that a Dva and Orisa can outlast him face to face dude has no armor to reduce 40% of incoming dmg .
His cardiac overcome seems very similar to fan suggested rework for Roadhog to make his vape team supportive
Sym and sombra are very good counters to him. You can use syms TP to get your whole team out. But only if your team mates have a brain to use the TP.
discord orb is bad for him too
In my opinion he needs to do less damage and have more sustainability bc he explodes so fast without cardiac overdrive and has the confirmed biggest hit box in the game

2:45 facts I’ve been grinding legion on tf2 and the Minigun’s noise gives me headaches if I play too long. Which is realistic I guess.

This guy is like the exact same as whatever the mini gun demon guy in paladins is. Cool charge, shields from hitting shots, minigun? Cmon

I like how his charge is a combination of what rein's charge and doom's ult should have been
His gameplay is universally multirole efficient, Hes a Tank unit, his dual miniguns can insanely rip enemies apart even against hog, has increase crit dmg if his volatile minigun hits and sets his enemies burning, his 1st skill can charge like reinhardt or Dva and lands a curb stomp to deal dmg and stun nearby enemies, his 2nd skill can self adrenaline and heal his teammates if him or them deal dmg, which kinda like its a lifestyle atk, and his burst, OH BOY, its a CC and a very tough defense that only hogs ult can destroy it
Love that they added heavy weapons guy from tf2 in the game❤.
The one time Support got my interest was when Brig came out. It was basically Support but you can tag along with the team. The DPS equivalent would be Doomfist if he didn't fly under my radar.
This hero gives me Doomfist Vibes in terms of how unstoppable he can be, but this time he seems to be quite unstoppable even if enemy team tries to focus him.

Ive been dumpstering Maui with junker queen in just about every game. Hes fun to play against

yeah but they nerf the characters to the extreme and then become boring to play. So what if they was boring during release versus boring after the nerf. The problem is Blizzard doesn't know how to balance their characters. I'm concerned with making these characters OP just so peak interests so you can drop alot of cash at them. F that. Put some heart and soul into actually fixing your game, instead of chasing the money all the time.
Mauga seems like that kind of hero that in a random queue with solo stacks, can be super powerful and hard to deal with. If you're dealing with a 5 stack, though, his ult is actually really poor, because the 5 stack can just go in at the same time and turn his ult into a forced 1v5
not to mention he gets completely 1v1'd by genji.
head the size of two roadhogs and having to deal with a genji flipping around you, I've been farming mauga's all day by just sticking close to him, shotgunning shurikens into his face and deflecting/jumping over his two forms of damage.
you do realize his own team can shoot through and walk through the barrier? it's just a winston bubble with no top that you can't leave, not that you'd want to assuming you didn't just throw it down without team support. there are FAR worse ults in the game like Ball, DVA, and JunkerQueen's to name a few from just the tanks class

That guy said it well, this char feels sooo out of place if you place him beside someone like Rammatra (my fav char btw). There's no substance to him either, he's just goofy and that's all he has. Dunno man, I don't like him, he's extremely cartoonish, maybe the most one so far
He looks fun, but it's the "on expense of others" type of fun. Can imagine playing Ram against him and being absolutely stomped even with punch form, maybe even ult. He looks like he doesn't really counter, but just straight up overpowers certain tanks
Bastion actually kills faster than if you're up close with both guns as mauga
Yeah in terms of raw dmg turret form bastion is still the strongest primary fire.
One time I killed someone in ranked with mau(i)ga and said what can I say except your welcome. And he got so mad he started screaming and spamming in chat to the point that he was AFK just typing
He's the opposite of OP lol. He already got a buff. Seems legit when enemy also playing Mauga but several other tanks way better. He needs constant heals and has no blocking.

I love overwatch so much but everything around the core gameplay loop is so horrible that I can't play it. I don't want to support such design
this is just raum from paladins. a minigun, a run that boops people. a stomp that stuns. sustain that "heals" allies and can give yourself overhealth. its the same kit with a different ult

Mauga only works as an off-tank. If he's a solo tank, he's really weak.

His close range damage definitely needs to be toned down, but I think his longer range damage is fine. The passive should also be improved, since without overhealth he's just an ult battery, like Roadhog, but with sustain healing rather than burst healing.
