edit: i get frequent comments saying their opinions on who specifically in their opinion is the left and right brain. in MY opinion, logan represents the left brain of thinking, roman represents the right brain of thinking. virgil represents the left brain of feeling, patton represents the right brain of feeling.

This is incredible! I’ve seen a lot of “left brain right brain” things with Patton and Logan before but I ALWAYS thought that technically both Virgil and Logan make the left brain and Patton and Roman make the right brain. Seeing someone who thought the same thing is really cool

I've honestly never seen Virgil as a left brained side. He's thomas's anxiety, and fears- yes he's also a form of preservation and in a way even reason, but his core funtion is fear and anxiety- which are both subjective feelings--
But besides my own interpitations, this animation is amazing and the fact that I'm a LAMP/polyamsanders shipper it made it even better-- thank you for this masterpeice-

Really? That's strange I've always thought of him as left brain. Like you said, his purpose is to get things done and is largely analytical (if you don't do x then that will quite possibly lead to y which will cause z and z is Not Good so do x) and the tools he uses (fear and anxiety) is simply an increase of epinephrine and a release of norepinephrine when you've finally completed the task.
That's how I see it anyway.

I can’t remember what episode it was from but I remember Virgil describing himself as a “problem identifier”, which uses a lot of pattern recognition, which is a left brained skill.
But I agree that “anxiety” is a very emotional trait.
I’d say he has aspects of both. That one episode trying to categorize Virgil seemed to conclude that he doesn’t quite “fit in” under many labels, and this is probably part of the reason.

And I sorta stuck with that! But same, I love LAMP very much just as I love any other ship and I don't really have a main ship in the animatic so you can interpret this to have any ship!
