I like the way the timing cover and handbrake look. Very creative.

Thanks, it’s got a good look and capable of a lot of fun!!! I’m currently running stock suspension in the front with the exception of some polyurethane bushings and the rear is a four link kit from Slam Specialties through @summitracing
Front are stock springs and rear are from a different vehicle all springs are cut to obtain the drop. I’d like to go to air springs and probably fabricate front upper control arms to obtain some caster over the factory spec

Wheels look amazing on this build. Who makes them?

These wheels are 18”x8” winter steelies from the
Chrysler KA platform (nitro, liberty, wrangler, grand Cherokee)

I'm curious about your Ford 8.8 swap. What axle did you use, and what width did it end up? Were you able to just chop one side? Thanks! Cool ride!

I used a 2000 Ford Explorer 8.8 w/factory trac lock and 3:73 gears. The long axle tube is on the left rear, this makes the pinion location offset and overall width of 59.75” hub to hub. When you narrow the longer side to use a short side axle you narrow it by 2-15/16. This puts the pinion pretty close to centered. The result is a width of around 56.75” To narrow it, we cut the axle at the center housing flange then painfully removed the very thick wall tube from the housing. Once removed we aligned and pressed in the axle tube into the housing, after fully installed we welded the tube to the housing. This is one of two methods, the other is to cut and section the tube, rewelding it half way or so in the tube. Honestly after doing this ourselves I would never want to repeat this process, I would most definitely pay a machine / fab shop to do this. Thanks for watching, glad you like the build, if you have any more questions don’t hesitate to ask.
