For anyone who is coming to this video and has the S+ mod installed, please keep in mind that there is a point in the video where you won't be able to build on top of a wall. That point is at 4:26, you will need to make the S+ converter table and use it to switch the ceiling to a non-S+ version. Then you will be able to proceed. :)

I just recently quit doing official pvp due to work. I'm having such a fun time making bases out in the open that actually look good and have space for decorating instead of being cluttered with turrets and nonsense. This is giving me so much inspiration!

This is a really cool build but for future reference you should totally give a little bit more detail whether it’s talking or typing out what you’re doing it’s a little fast for slow people like me :)
I know what you mean, I had to stop the video after he laid two or three wooden ceilings, lay three in my game, go watch him do a little more. Sometimes I had to tear something out and back up the video. But I got it done. Did you have any major problems during the build?

Be aware if building this on official, you'll want to place all the pillars first. Because of the snap points and obstructions on official, you'll have to demolish whole walls just to snap the wooden pillars in place.

How the hell am i supposed to figure out where the pillars go without the walls being built
@@uwasu521 build the ones on the bottom floor first, they follow all the way to the top. Build your first floor, then pillar before building the second floor.
Or, just demolish the each wall either side of where the pillars will go, place pillar, add walls.
Official won't let you place pillars through walls.

Great and easy build! However, i did have issues when putting the bigger windows in as they would break the double doorframes. I even tried flipping and reflipping but still broke. Satisfied with everything other than that

Awesome tutorial love the house. Just spent hours building it but when I try putting the windows in it breaks the door frame and double door frame.. It works on the window walls but I cannot have 2 next to each other like you built some of them, they are too big. I don't know how to fix this. Would appreciate some help please anyone. Maybe the size or the greenhouse walls were changed over the past year?
It was kinda hard to build that high without flying 😂

Seriously an AWESOME build my son and I use this on fjordur. I do have some criticisms.
Empty spaces should be avoided, though we repurposed those, there are limited cuts with no words explaining what to do which would really help, for example I was thrown off when you switched from wood ceiling to stone on bottom level, no dimensions for the foundations, if you’re not on creative mode gotta remember ladders to get up to build spots, you don’t have the wedge sloped roofs in list, nor enough stone wedge ceilings, stone stairs, doorframes and walls.
All fixable on our end but it would really help if you included a little more details so we don’t have to watch parts over and over and go back and forth with our farm spot and build spot to make adjustments and such.
Other than those minor critiques on the build video itself, it’s incredible! we customized the bottom floor to be a basement/cellar for storage and eggs I love this build! I really do I just hope you adjust to my critiques and make the watching less counting and slow speed dependent so we can blaze through and get back to playing. 😊

I'm trying to build this but cant get some of the wooden pillars to snap in place.....any suggestions on what I did wrong?
have you disabled "Structure Collision" in Settings ?
If on official, you'll have to demolish the walls and ceilings surrounding the pillar. Snap the pillars in place, then rebuild the walls.
This is a great build but for the future maybe you could go a bit slower just so it’s easier to keep up
Change speed to 0.5 and it should be easy to follow

Do these have clipping on. Or can any of your builds go on public servers?
You can recreate this house in public server but you have to change some stages of Building, you have to put the pillars before the walls otherwise it will not work and replace the two staircase by three stairs
My only issue is trying to get the greenhouse walls in for the windows. It either breaks the doorway or the glass or simply won't lock into the right spot. I'm trying to figure out a different way to make it happen.
Look at 7:31 if you skip this step you can't place greenhouse walls

I know this is an older video, but i cant seem to place a ceiling half way on the wall like around the 4 and a half minute mark. Is there some mod i need?

At 12:26, the wooden ceiling won't fit under the stairs. It just says it's obstructed and stays red. How did you get it to fit?

how do you place the glass wall in the door frames (or double door frame)? When I place the glass wall, the door frame is destroyed...

@@YuTay I solved the problem. I play with mods on a private server and the s+ structures are less permissive on placements. It didn't take the place I gave in the preview...
by trying later with the classic structures, it was easier ^^
Would have been nice to know before gathering all the material and crafting the building pieces that certain parts wouldn't work on an official server can't put a ceiling going through the staircase, wood pillars obstructed, etc.
On official you need to place the pillars before the walls to not be obstructed. For the staircase, replace with wooden stairs this way : th-cam.com/video/JsDmEvLI2Jw/w-d-xo.html

Having alot of issues with ceilings needing foundation supports, any fix.
If you have the foundations on the ground there should be no problems the house is as wide as the foundations
Any idea if a indi forg and tek replicator would fit in it?

For those console players out their with the staircase since we can’t get s+ what I decided to do is place two railing under the staircase instead of putting a floor there and I also filled the rest of what you can see of that hollow part with wood

pretty late but either disable structure collision like he said or your gonna have to destroy all the walls around the pillar then place it in which can get a little annoying. took me quite a while to get them all in place but it workds

Update you have to place a ceiling and then a triangle ceiling then place the normal ceiling again in order to get i to snap
