Great playthrough! Just got my copy a few days ago and can’t wait to get stuck into it. One thing on the ‘Surround Dr.Foo’ mission, I don’t think you have to end your turn either side of his current era to add a cube. It can happen at any time during a turn and you can continue on with your turn after you add the cube. I think that’s the purpose of the ‘Once per turn’ wording to prevent someone hopping in and out of an adjacent era on their turn.
Am I right to think that might be a LOT of downtime in some turns? There are so many activations and loopings that the other player will be waiting for a couple of minutes. Also, how do you feel about the Alpha Player issue?
the game doesn't do anything about alpha players, so if that's a problem your group faces, you'll likely have that problem here. but that's true for most co-op games. turns can be big as well... we didn't mind as a 2p game, and considering how much opportunity there is for players move to overlap, we found we were pretty invested in each other's turns. and also you've got a lot you can think about to plan your turn when it's not your turn :)
Yeah, at 3 players there's a lot of downtime, I would never do 4 players with this game. 1-2 players is where this game really shines and it's amazing. Not sure for Ultra Machina but for the default SABOTAGE mode, the board changes so much that you can't really plan anything between turns.
why don`t you remove the red cube, you said that the orange lady has an ability to remove one cube, doesn`t she? You used to remove the cube and then you just stopped
Hmmm Im really not a Pandemic fan and I sort of ignored this game because in general, I find coop games (other than spirit island, gloomhaven and Robinson Crusoe) too bland and repetitive and same-y. But after watching this (and I had to force myself to watch past the first few minutes), im actually really interested. A big part of it is the large pile of cards you get to reveal and run for. I like the puzzle of the looping. The whole taking out quests and bad plans or whatever seems like your cliche coop mechanism but the tower spinning and dropping random cubes seems interesting enough. Looks like a bit of a mix of Marvel heroes from CMON, pandemic and deckbuilding which is probably the part i like most. The way you play would be the same way it would play with 2 real players or more?

I skipped through this a bit so maybe it was said, but how do you reveal more mission tiles? (Considering you need 4 to win in this scenario)
if there's ever only 1 mission available, flip the one where dr foo is (or go clockwise from him) to have 2 rdy to go

Hmm... I kinda dig the Clank!/Pandemic/Arkham Horror gameplay vibe. The colors are attacking my eyes quite a bit though...
Looks cool though it could use a skateboarding teenager and a wild-eyed scientist to round out the roster :)
Not sure if it got drawn in the video, but: This game does have a hoverboard! WITH WHEELS!!!
Also, in the expansion, there are two characters, among which there is Young Dr Foo!

yup, iirc the only thing that changes at different player counts is how many badguys and artifacts are spawned as part of setup :)
