The one thing to mention is health. NO amount of money can make you healthy.
Illness doesnt care if you have 5 million or 5 cents. Pay off your house and
take Social Security early! So what if I have 2 million dollars at age 80..
At 80+ most of your day is spent sitting.
At 80+ The mind slows and reactions fail..
At 80+ you dont need 2 million dollars.
If I pay off my house at age 62 take SS and live llife travel whatever while Im healthy thats what matters.
Working till 70 is a joke bad one played on you! Get out free your mind and enjoy life early! Long term care is sell your house.

Get social security when it is right for you. I’m a retired City employee with a good pension. I’m 64 years old. I will get my social security at 67 years old which would be beneficial to my wife if I die before her. I agree that 70 is too far of an age. Enjoy life in moderation and good health. Be well.

I get so tired of these financial advisors telling people they need to work untill their are 70. Most of them probably have never worked at a phisically demanding job. She is always telling people they need several million dollars to retire. The average person did not earn that much during their lifetime of working, so why would they need that much in retirement. Thats just common sense and logic. Her advice is so out of touch with the average working-class.

Size is a smart financial guru and makes decisions on the current market based on inflation. You seem like a person from the era that save your money, pay your house off and have no debt. Unfortunately, this generation does not think this way. Bravo to you. Suze was advising individuals who do not have your knowledge.
