Student loans are never forgiven, unless one goes on disability. If parents go on social security income , they still need to pay these loans that are under their name. It is better children go into instate school. Work and pay for their tuition. When they live in parents home while in college, they dont have to pay for housing or food, car insurance. So for bachelor’s go to instate school. And for Masters if needed , work for an employer who pays for school.
