    Historical Background
    1. The Caves of Machpelah marks the beginning place and roots of the nation of Israel. God's promises and covenants with Abraham and his descendants happened in Hebron or nearby. These promises would also have wide-reaching implications and include all the nations of the earth.
    2. The property of the Caves of Machepelah is the first legal land acquisition in the Promised Land. This fulfilled part of the Abrahamic covenant God gave Abraham in Genesis chapters 12 and 13.
    3. It began to be venerated during the time the Patriarchs were buried here. Then, King David preserved it so it could be remembered and venerated as well. This can be verified by the fact that he built protection walls around Abraham's Altar at the Oaks of Mamre that can still be seen today.
    4. So, all throughout the Old Testament period, it would be venerated. This can be verified as there have been found in the caves, pottery, and artifacts dating back to King David's time and 700 BC.
    5. Then Herod the Great, between 31 and 4 BC, built massive walls around the caves, including a floor about halfway up the walls covering the caves. It had access from this floor down to the caves. Later, during the Muslim Period, the access would be closed off. Herod built the walls around the caves using the same building stone style as the Temple Mount Platform and the structure he built just a short distance to the north of here at the Oaks of Mamre, where Abraham built an altar.
    6. After the time of Herod, during the Byzantine Period, in around 325 AD, Christians built a Basilica Church on top of the floor inside the walls of the structure Herod built.
    7. During the Muslim Period, in around 650 AD, the basilica church and site were converted into a Mosque. During the 10th century, an entrance was pierced through the north-eastern wall, some way above the external ground level, and steps from the north and from the east were built up to it.
    8. In 1100 AD, after the area was captured by the Crusaders, the enclosure once again became a church. During this period, the Byzantine church and other buildings were remodeled and given new gabled and vaulted roofs with elegant windows. Most of the internal buildings that can be seen today are from the Crusader period.
    9. In 1188 AD, the Muslims once again conquered the area. At this time, they reconverted and remodeled the enclosure into a mosque, allowing Christians to continue worshipping there.
    10. In around 1320, during the Muslim Mamluk period, cenotaphs were made to each of the Patriarchs and their wives. There are two caves side by side where all the Patriarchs and their wives are buried. However, the tomb marker of Abraham is directly over the caves.
    11. From 1267 to 1967, Jews were not allowed any access inside the structure. They were only allowed to approach as far as the seventh step of the southern steps of the stairway.
    12. In 1967, the southern stair access was removed by Israelis. However, you can still see evidence of it today.

Mr. Fink I enjoyed this video production on the caves or grave site. As I've said before, your channel is by far one of the best on Holy Land tours. I've even recommended your website to a pastor I know in North Carolina. I'm surprised that I don't remember this especially seeing it all over television during the six day war. It makes sense now. It's interesting that at 26:04 minutes you say, "I want you to look right over my head", after mentioning Esau's tomb. I recently was made aware of John the Baptist's remains buried in shrine at a mosque in Damascus, Syria. I have been to many places in the middle east. My wife is from the region. I'm intrigued why some men insist on having a tombstone or tomb. I of course wish to be buried, but feel that having a marker or headstone is not necessary. I wanted to express my sympathy for the passing of your Father. Thank you for your faith in God. May the Heavenly Father give you increase 🙏. Blessings from Durham, NC.

nice video... note: Essau is not buried there. Just his head. He was interfering and delaying the burial of Jacob, which angered one of Jacob's great-grand children who took out his sword and lopped off Esau's head. The head then rolled down and landed at the feet of Isaac, and remains there to this day.

He actually did with the help of his mother Rebecca.
Esau was Isaac's favorite son while Jacob was Rebecca's favourite. Isaac got older and was near his death when he told Esau his favorite son to go hunting and make him a delicious soup and bless him afterwards. Esau did exactly that but unbeknownst to him, Rebecca eavesdropped everything Isaac said and since Jacob was her own favorite son she helped him cook a soup to taste like what Isaac wanted and she wore him a goat skin to appear hairy like his brother Esau. Jacob took the soup to Isaac and Isaac did his best to Identify who it was to make sure it was Esau, but he wasn't able to even though he was suspicious. So, he blessed Jacob thinking he was Esau and Rebecca was behind it all.
So technically, he stole his birth rite.

No one was a " Christian " in those days.. It wasn't time for that.. But Christ has always been .. He had Supper with Abraham he closed Sara's mouth because she laughed at what He said would happen... So who is Christ ?? GOD THAT'S WHO HE IS !! GOD and Christ are the same thing you cant have one without the other.. Our Father can be in two places at once he is super natural.. Christ is that part of our Father that deals with us in the flesh and a designated time to come but after that Christ and God will be one person no separate office's.. Just our Father One Father one God that's it... You don't have to believe this I just felt the need to say it.. Have a good day.

Ron Wyatt believed the traditional Cave of Machpelah was not the true site of Abraham's cave he had purchased in Hebron to bury his family. He had a strange series of events happen which led him to another site in Hebron that he believed was the actual burial cave of Abraham. However, he was never able to complete his exploration and study of the site. I am posting the story, and next the evidence, which led to his belief. If his belief is correct, I believe God can arrange for it to be made known, if it is His will. I am protecting the people who own the land and will not divulge their name or location. It will be interesting and possibly exciting to see what comes of this information. Be sure and watch part 2, which will be posted next. th-cam.com/video/tV4hggPHI7U/w-d-xo.html

when Jacob's sons came to bury their father in the Cave of the Patriarchs, Esau came and stopped them, Esau said: Jacob buried his wife Leah in the part that belongs to him, and the part that remains is mine .They said to him: And didn't you sell your place in the cave to Jacob our father? ' He said to them: ' Bring a bill of sale. They immediately sent Naphtali the fastest of all the brothers to bring the deed of sale from Egypt, but Husham ben Dan, who could not bear that his grandfather was put in disgrace, took a stick and knocked Esau's head off,and Esau's head rolled into the cave, until it rested in the grave of his father Isaac , only Esau head was buried in the Machpalah

That's not the real cave of Machpelah. Nor would any of those folks be "buried" there as they would have risen when the blood of our Lord went onto the mercy seat of the ark of the covenant. I appreciate seeing the tourist version though.

WHERE IN THE BIBLE WILL I FIND THE BOOK AND THE VERSES , WHICH SAY YAHSHUA THE MESSIAH RESURRECTED ABRAHAM ?

    • @blessisrael6455

When a believer dies (or, those in pre-crucifixion days who had a Messianic hope such as Abraham) the spirit, not bones or “dust” “immediately departs and dwells with the L-rd”; when believers are raptured, our bones will meet up, in the air, with our L-rd and receive a new glorified Kingdom body, thus “the dead will rise and meet in the air”,
I don’t know any passage that says Abraham is resurrected at messiah’s crucifixion; there existed two compartments, one called Hades, and one called Abrahams Bosom or “Paradise”
      and those with a Messianic hope went to one compartment of Sheol, Abrahams Bosom) where there was consciousness (read the story in Luke of Lazarus and the rich man);

Israel was Not in Egypt 400 Years
As we see in Gen 46:11, Kohath (Moshe’s grandpa) walked into Egypt. In Ex 6:18, we see Kohath died at 133 years old. Let’s say, for the sake of argument, Kohath walked in to Egypt when he was one day old. So, when Kohath died, the Hebrews had been in Egypt 133 years.
In Ex 6:20, we see that Amraam (Moshe’s father) died at the age of 137 years old. For the sake of argument, let’s say Amraam died in the last year of Kohath’s life. So, when Amraam died, the Hebrews had been in Egypt 270 years.
In Ex 7:7, we see that Moshe was 80 years old when he spoke to Pharoah about releasing the Hebrews. Let’s say Moshe was born in the last year of Amraam’s life. So, we add the 80 to the 270 and we come up with 350 years.
In reality, it was probably much less than 350. Some of their time must have been spent in Canaan before their move to Egypt.

The Holy Quran itself reveals about the purpose of its revelation in the following words.....
"A guidance and mercy for the righteous ones." (Surah Luqman Verse 3)
    Who are the righteous ones?
This is also answered in Surah Baqarah, Verse 3 and 4
"Those who guard against evil, believe in the unseen, are steadfast in their prayers, spend out of what Allah have provided for them and who believe in that which was revealed upon Prophet Muhammad and that which was revealed before him, and are certain of the hereaftar".

You, of all people, Pastor ought to know better. The Jews DID forget and after Christ came, genealogies and such were unnecessary. The temple WAS in the city of David. Otherwise you are negating the scriptures in more than one place. MY God is not a God of confusion. Is yours?
