Indonesian Traditional Game - Congklak (Motion Graphic)

Congklak is an Indonesian traditional game that known by various name. This game is using a board made of wood or plastic that has 14 small holes and 2 large holes on it, also a small shell as the seeds. This game can be played by two people. The goal of this game is to accumulate as many seeds in each of player’s house. Congklak is a simple game that could sharpen the kid’s arithmetic and intellective skills.
As the time goes by, many traditional games, including Congklak, replaced by modern games such as video games and also the internet. Moreover, nowadays children prefer to play with their gadgets and sit for hours in the house, rather than playing outside with friends. The negative side of modern games that exist today is more affecting on the individual side of the child.
