- It was my second time checking out the amazing Alffy Rev and Wonderland Indonesia 2 - The Sacred Nusantara. I know Indonesian Independence Day is on the 17 August, so I wanted to react to something special.
This video was incredible and really blew my mind.
Yes, Indonesia has more than 700 languages, and these songs come from many province (local language) and better you upgrade your knowledge about Indonesia culture, good luck and have a nice time.
Indonesia is a country with many cultures and languages...so this video describes the diversity of indigenous cultures in Indonesia
Nusantara means The Indonesian Archipelago, in the past, it includes half of the South East Asia now (the whole region of Indonesia, Philipina, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, and some part of Thailand & Myanmar).
The video is actually tell us the story of the history of Indonesia. It is split to 3 part, part 1 is when we were still under one Great Empire in Southeast Asia (Majapahit Empire/Wilwatikta Empire), part 2 is when the colonialism time and make us separated, symbolize as the two headed dragon (Netherlands & Japan) who bring the fire to the Nusantara land, and finally part 3 is when we all got our independence from the colonialism.

Indonesia archipelago has 17,000 islands (6000 inhabitate), it extending 3200 miles from west to east and 1100 miles from south to north (USA is 2892 miles from west to east), with 633 numbers of ethnic groups (wikipedia says 1340), 300 native languages (and hundreds more dialects), a population of 272 million people (world 4th largest). Bahasa Indonesia is the official language. Only few of us has priveleges seing the whole country 😔 I am lucky enough 🫠to have seen 65% of my country. Yes, it's a vast country and rich in traditional culture.
