I was doing my best to line up the segments with bad segues. Hopefully you enjoyed 😆 Shoutouts to SRC267, The Collector and Spectator Mode for the news tips!
EA shouldn't feel bad about a sudden lack of income. They should think of their poor sporadic profits as sort of like Kinder Eggs and Hatchimals. Quite ethical and quite fun.
Yep, it just goes to show you how stupid some companies are, they think the public.is.dumb but it's actually wrong the public is starting to get sick of crap and are starting to buy their crap. Looking forward to the future let's hope we can get back to.the golden age of gaming within the next 20 years max.
Physical isn’t dead. It’s Only not supported by greedy companies who want to take your rights. Until the DRM issue is solved Physical is the best option.
Flatpaks have their own pros and cons. For cons, the most noticeable is that it takes up much more space and also uses more RAM. As for pros, it's as you've said, it's self-contained so it'll work on any distro and you don't have to bother with installing any other dependencies.
Regarding the Simpson's game, a guy shared his mother's story online, saying how much she had loved that game and had over 500 characters and a huge city that she had built over the last decade. The post was in Spanish and he didn't know how to tell his mother about the closure of the game.
I live near the largest university in the United States and there are almost no physical games available anywhere. If they do have any physical games they are VERY limited and MIGHT have one current big title. I think the sales studies don't paint the whole picture. If the games aren't in the store, of course, the sales have gone down. It in no way shows people don't want to buy physical releases. The physical releases just aren't there.
I wonder if those Physical decline numbers take into account all of the LRG releases? I am betting they do not. While mainstream publishers are making it less viable to use physical, smaller run games like LRG, Strictly Limited, etc, are taking up the slack.
It's nice to see people finally coming around to this realization. Don't take this wrong way either, I'm not trying to be a smarta**, but, most of us saw that coming from 10 miles away. Still, I see more and more people understanding the pitfalls of digital, each day, and it's promising. I hope people stand together on this, because this companies are not only "not" your friends, they are your enemies.
On the topic of physical games. I personally only buy physical copies for games I REALLY like. Even then I buy the same games digitally and leave the physical ones sealed if they're not used because imo I think it's a hassle to switch games everytime I want to play them. This saves a lot of space irl. I only have 15 physical games. That's over 17 years of gaming!
i think more people would be okay with digital games, if there a law guaranteeing access, even after it been delisted from digital stores, that they own the game, and it can't just disappear from a user library, and you can sell it too, for a cheaper price. but the last one might be too optimistic
I do appreciate that the Ayaneo has a module for 6 face buttons. All these devices claim to play everything, but you can't properly map N64, Sega, and other consoles without 6 face buttons.
Aside from Bloodborne, Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise is pretty much playable on ShadPS4 now too, graphics were fixed with the latest patch and i've been playing for hours without a single crash, it's great.
Interesting to see but not surprising that the PS4 still is getting big releases since the console still has a big userbase to this days, it's powerful enough to run any old game or indie title, the game's engines still support it (which is a main point) and is more affordable than the PS5 since a HDD can hold more data than a SDD and is cheaper, not counting also that you need PS+ to pretty much everything on the PS5 since play online multiplayer until backup your damn save files!. Also hear EA suffering is kind neat, probably they could finally realize in make appealing games that people want and if they can't, just bring back old fan-favorites games ported to the modern consoles, I'm pretty sure anyone would love to see again Burnout 3 Takedown or a Medal of Honor title.
Game disc's in the US are down in sales. Not because of digital. But because Walmart and other retailers only carry AAA titles. Because they are "guaranteed sales". Walmart has also been notorious for failing to have new releases. Due to simply having a high turn over rate. Thus having no electronics assisociate to stock them.
The only thing that stops Duckstation short from being the definitive PlayStation emulator is PocketStation connection and emulation of the PlayStation Link cable (you can play local PVP in Armored Core without having to split your screen space with this cable).
For what concernes the Ayaneo 3, I don't understand the need for the 1200 dollar version with the LCD screen. IMO if I'm spending that much money, I want the best of the best! So I'd spend 100/150 dollars more to buy the OLED one.
Ayaneo NEEDS to thicken their units because they always overheat. It's really dumb how they keep running into the issue and don't seem to care. Maybe it increases their sales?
I actually hate widescreen patches. They usually break cutscenes, HUDs or in some cases the game isn't even rendering the world from the sides. There are a few exceptions to this like the PC versions of the Sims 2, Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 and some other old PC games. But for the most part, especially console games, 4:3 all the way.
Physical games are being forced out of our hands by digital only consoles. I'm very happy Nintendo have kept the Switch 2 as physical, and will be choosing to own games on that device instead of getting tickets to access digital content that could vanish at any point.
not complete/broken games on disc or cartridge games releasing and wondering why digital sales are up. It’s more like they are forcing you to go digital if you want to play the game.
Since video games went above the $60usd price point, sales have declined. I don't think they understand how poor everyone is now. Raising prices is a dick move and has conditioned us to not spend money we don't have. I'll be spending my money on the 2 meals a day I can afford. Sales decline is fine with me.
The guy behind the Retroscaler 2X is releasing a GBS-C "pro" next month on his AliExpress store. Its up for Pre-order right now and it comes with an IR remote and S-video support as well. Scales retro consoles up to 1080p output and a launch price of $65. This might be the retro scaler to get as a great budget stop gap until selling a kidney for the retrotink 4k.
Physical game sales are only down because they make it impossible to buy any. I can't get anything worthwhile from Target or BestBuy anymore because they're literally limiting how many they stock. Amazon seems to be the only place I can and their stuff seems to dry up pretty quickly, If I wanted to get a physical copy of Spider-man 2 during a sale period that isn't a used copy the prices are all jacked up. Okay Ayaneo you have my attention, not my money yet but you're getting there. Swappable/flippable Sticks so that I don't have to deal with the annoying asymmetrical controller style? Yes please, but maybe cheaper? Eh, I paid $550 for an OLED SteamDeck, I suppose $700 or so makes sense if it's actually stronger, although I'm _not_ in the market yet and I'm not going back to Windows.
The only reason I don't buy physical media now is because when you buy a disc you have to download the game anyway like give me two discs at least with the game on it what about people with shit internet or people who just want the game to be played without any hassle
Physical Games Are Superior to DRM Digital Games and DRM-Free Games. Owning physical games is the best option for true ownership, preservation and protecting our rights. Here's why: Ownership: Physical games are yours to own and control. DRM digital games are just licensed, and access can be revoked anytime. DRM-free games offer better control but still fall short of physical media. Resale and Trade: You can resell, trade, or give away physical games. DRM digital games usually can't be resold or transferred, while DRM-free games offer more flexibility but still have some limitations. Including you may back up your games but, you can't ever sell them to someone or give them away. Access and Preservation: Physical games don't rely on servers, so you can play them anytime. Digital games can become inaccessible if servers shut down. DRM-free games can be backed up, but physical copies provide guaranteed access. But, DRM and DRM-free games will never allow you to preserve the game because you can't legally do anything with it except pass it down in the family. You can never truly preserve it so long as it's illegal to sell or give away your copy. Consumer Rights: Physical games come with more legal protections. Digital games with DRM often have complex terms that limit our rights. DRM-free games have simpler terms but still don't match physical media's protections. See above for why. Durability and Reliability: Physical media can last for decades. Digital games depend on technology and corporate decisions, which can affect availability. Such as being owned by the companies on their hardware and systems. DRM-free games can be backed up, but pre-manufactured physical copies offer maximum reliability. In summary, owning physical games ensures your investment remains secure and accessible. As well as our rights as buyers and our ownership rights. Which is why Physical media is the gold standard for true ownership and long-term reliability. This making them superior to Digital games and DRM and DRM-free games. In the end, it's an ownership war and your letting them win it by not fighting back against this march to step on our rights. Don't be that person. Stand up for our rights.
Physical games deteriorate with time genius. And when consoles stop to have disc drives then you cannot play those games anymore. And that will be very soon.
Y'all. We gotta stop praising physical and start praising "DRM-free", the real winner. It's 2025, discs are 100% dead and not ever making a comeback. Support DRM-free downloads!
Good luck with that. The more we go “all digital” the more our rights go bye bye. 👋 Don’t you see? They wouldn’t push this DRM all digital future if they didn’t have the legal status to deny us our rights. People think, you think you are buying something? You’re just renting it. Even GOG who lets you download your game’s files admits it’s not really yours. I’m sorry but, when I own a disc or cartridge I can do with it whatever I want except for those things on the books already. Which are small. The legal side of this pertaining to our rights only covers physical media. To actually buy a good means you receive it and take possession of it and have ownership of it after that. Save for the Intellectual rights. Besides which, it’s far better to touch and feel and see what you own. We are humans and we prefer things that are tangible and real to us. Everyone has been sold a lie. Even if we get DRM rights and DRM free games. It will still be massively lesser than actually owning your games and actually purchasing them. For me, it’s a hybrid. I’ll take physical but I’m open to DRM free so long as our rights convey over. From borrowing our games to others, reselling our games through a marketplace like EBay or backing up our game’s physically.
I was doing my best to line up the segments with bad segues. Hopefully you enjoyed 😆

It's so bad it's good again 😂
Enjoy it very much 😂
EA losing money brings happiness to gamers everywhere
EA shouldn't feel bad about a sudden lack of income. They should think of their poor sporadic profits as sort of like Kinder Eggs and Hatchimals. Quite ethical and quite fun.
If that happens to gameloft as well then my happiness reaches the climax😃
EA tears are most delicious!
If it happens to all mobile games studios
I'll be happy too.

Physical isn’t dead. It’s Only not supported by greedy companies who want to take your rights. Until the DRM issue is solved Physical is the best option.
These companies being so greedy and controlling is the reason why I'm running on emulation now.
If any gaming company support it then it will be dead, genius. And that will be very soon.
In an alternate reality Aya releases fewer handhelds and supports those devices for years and years
Yeah. Oversaturation Ala phones is kind of weird on handhelds.
Flatpaks have their own pros and cons. For cons, the most noticeable is that it takes up much more space and also uses more RAM. As for pros, it's as you've said, it's self-contained so it'll work on any distro and you don't have to bother with installing any other dependencies.

Yeah you should tell him too not delete the game as it might get an offline patch by modders😅
Happy birthday fluff ❤
GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition has just been released and it is standalone. It is Vice City using GTA4 engine.
Just google it cause I can't link videos.
It's using unreal engine 4 if I am correct😅🙏
From where i can get it ?

EA being on the decline doesn’t surprise me

My Paisley is 15 going on 16 in March! ❤ She’s much less fluffy than The One Fluff, though.
I wonder if those Physical decline numbers take into account all of the LRG releases? I am betting they do not. While mainstream publishers are making it less viable to use physical, smaller run games like LRG, Strictly Limited, etc, are taking up the slack.
Physical is forever important for preservation. AAA companies can't take them away from ME
It's funny because I read this comment right after I read the headline that Sony just killed Blu-ray
Take2 took down a GTA4 port of Vice City
It's nice to see people finally coming around to this realization. Don't take this wrong way either, I'm not trying to be a smarta**, but, most of us saw that coming from 10 miles away.

not anymore as physical either gets outdated day 1 or it doesn't even have the full game so nope

I don't know about physical copy but this is their own fault to begin with. I'm old school and i always want a physical copy because i paid for it.
Its amazing how much interesting news you find to talk about everyday
6:45 JSRF Remake incoming (will be the Game of Year)
I been watching my friend play Bloodborne on PC via discord, it works well
Vertex explosion and a few other things need to be fixed but it is going very well especially on the "mainBB" fork of ShadPS4

Thank got there’s no Switch news. I wish Nintendo would just launch it so we can be done with rumors and speculation on it.
7:10 Did you know the person on this TH-cam channel is the same person who made the Sonic Movie 3 low polly credits sequence.
I do appreciate that the Ayaneo has a module for 6 face buttons.

Thanks for passing along the Simpsons Tapped out info!
It makes sense why handhealds are so expensive. Console companies have exclusive deals to get hardware cheap.
Sub-pixel games are cool. Almost has a CRT look to it because CRTs draw tiny dots (not pixels technically) and these sub-pixels are similarly tiny.

Playstation link cable? Never heard of it. But it does sounds like a rudimentary Lan cable connection.
@@Deliveredmean42 That was how we used to play some non-splitscreen local multiplayer games with other PlayStation owners.

Pretty much Nintendo is keeping most of the physical market going.
There are many other handhelds with the same specs as the Ayaneo3 now and they are all 200-400$US cheaper. That modularity is not worth that price.
The money from physical games is definitely going to mobile and free to play games!
if EA bring dead space trilogy to switch 2 would be cool.
that ayaneo 3 price...
I prefer AUR over flatpaks to be honest
