Help is needed. I have a S5. In my manual it says to clean the inside of the Thread guide. My little door doesn't seem to move the way the book indicates. It won't slide up and to the back, just the right side detaches. I am so afraid I'll break it. Any recommendations so I can clean under it? Also, I was told there is a way to find out how many hours I've sewed on my machine. Do you happen to know that series of buttons? Thank you so much.
If you're talking about the thread guide cover at the top, then you usually don't need clean under it. And yes, it can be hard to remove. I'm sorry that my hands were in the way for this part of the video. As to how many hours your machine has sewn, a sewing machine technician may be able to tell you how to find this out on your machine or whether it is even possible.
For some reason I am unable to replace my needle. I have replaced many needles on the three Janomes I have owned but when I try to put it in place with the flat side to the back, It just gets stuck. Whatever could be wrong with the machine and/or me?
I have a skyline s6. Does my walking foot need oil? My walking foot does not seem to be able to correctly fit the shank. It always looks crooked and effects my quilting accuracy. The shop of purchase tells me this is normal and I will get used to it. 2 yrs and 48 quilts later, I guess I have. But, disappointed.
Hmm... The foot itself shouldn't need oil. As for the crooked foot, I can't say I've paid enough attention to it to see if it anything but perfectly straight.
That was very Informative and thank you explaining it so well
Glad it was helpful!
I like all your explanation of Janome skyline but could you tell how to set my stitch length?
How many layers of denim is ok to sew in this machine without the risk of breaking it?
