Nice job kid, So happy to see you killing it and spending quality time with your best fury friend. I used to get irritated to see that river get so youtube famous, but seeing your excitement eases my frustration. That river is a special place and I am happy to see you getting to know it. Tightlines Bud
Thanks for kind words. We spent lots of time hiking that trail. First year, we were just watching people around us catching fish but it seems to be easier now. It is a nice river. I like taking my dog there so she can run along the trail.
@@fishingwithvu unfortunately not so much I got on one fish this whole month but it was with my 5 year old son and I let him fight it so it was definitely memorable
No it wasn’t me. This was another Vu. I was actually also in the attendance. He is giving out another one this February so hopefully you can go again. It’s fun listening to another angler sharing stories.
When using a half ounce bobber and an 8th ounce jig you wanna run a 3/8oz inline weight to properly balance your float. The floats rated for 1/2oz max, running a 1/2oz weight and 1/8oz jig your float will sit lower in the water than its supposed to. Not saying running more weight than your float recommends doesn't work, you're obviously still able to catch fish. Just saying that's the proper way to balance a float. 3/8oz inline + 1/8oz jig = 1/2oz

@@fishingwithvu unfortunately not so much I got on one fish this whole month but it was with my 5 year old son and I let him fight it so it was definitely memorable
That’s the best memory right there man. Once the rivers condition gets better, I’m sure you’ll catch them
@@fishingwithvu thanks man appreciate the good vibes
Idk man that "misclip" looked kinda like a natural adipose...
Nah it was clipped. I don’t bonk wild steelhead plus I’m not dumb haha. Fishing license is already expensive I ain’t paying extra for a fish.
Is this Cowlitz?
This is in OR
I thought this would be in Washington also lol
Why do you tie the bead leader to the head instead of the shank of the jig?
I like to add bait (coon shrimp or sand shrimp) to the jig. So by tying to the jig head, the line doesn’t mess up the bait.
CAN I BORROW A NET 😂😆🐟 hahaha hell yeah brotha
Haha yeah man. That fish was strong and I didn’t wanna loose it 😅
@@fishingwithvu man those fish were way back there! That’s what’s up my guy. Why won’t you use fishing in February? I’m finally back to it!
Going home 🇻🇳 brother
@@fishingwithvu fish will be back here waiting, that’s awesome have the best time!!!
I have gotten them out of there a few times. Nice stretch.
Awesome man. They are sure fun to fish for
Vu, did you speak at NW Steelheaders last year? If so I was very impressed with you presentation.
No it wasn’t me. This was another Vu. I was actually also in the attendance. He is giving out another one this February so hopefully you can go again. It’s fun listening to another angler sharing stories.
Great, I look forward to it. BTW: Nice job with your jig & bead set up. I’m hoping to hit the Wilson tomorrow…..Stay Fishie! 🎣
Good luck man. The condition looks good and it should be good
Giỏi quá a!!👏🏻
Was the second one a hatchery?
Yeah it was. It was clipped and had a healed clip mark. The video showed the nub but it was very obvious hatchery clipped in real life.

Awesome. Definitely will try that next time. Sounds like they will float better. I’m learning still
Khoi?
Wack em and stack them 🤙
Yessir..something like that 🤙 tight line!
