Hi neighbor! I’m also in the PNW zone 8b and I just found your channel. I’m really excited to learn more about timing of seed starting through the next few months, so many videos don’t apply that well to our area 💚
Thank you for your videos. I appreciate you sharing all your knowledge on these flowers and the how to grow all of them. Reading up on them is good but listening to you just solidifies that information in my brain lol Thank you again!
I’m behind on planting my Lizzie’s, eucalyptus and echinacea. We are zone 10b. Because of that we start all our Lizzie’s and snap groups 1-4 at the same time. My micro climate is odd.. we’ve had blooming anemones since Dec 1st. Stock, bells, Icelandic poppies, larkspur, winged ammobium, and Dara oddly grew year around for us. We are HOT, DRY and haven’t had rain since March. (Hence my entire county going up in flames the last two days). So having those germinate in August is odd. Just finished planting out the 1000 ranunculus and now I have 900 tulips to plant tomorrow (they’ve been in our fridge as we only get 172 chill hours per Year if we are lucky. and this is just on my tiny 7500 sq ft lot that includes my house . We recently leased a farm property so that we can expand, but it’s now being threatened by wildfires. I love watching your videos because it encourages me to get off my phone and go outside.Thank you for that
I've never heard of Lavatera before. You are growing a lot of it so it must be good! I had to search it up. It's really pretty...I'd love to hear more about it, how to grow it, how you use it/sell it, any varieties you can suggest that are good for cuts, and I'd love to see pictures of your bouquets with it. Does it act similar to cosmos in a bouquet? Where do you get seeds for it? Also same with Apple of Peru...I want to hear more. I saw you use it in a bouquet once and was enchanted! It looks like it dries to a shimmery gold color too, which would be awesome for Christmas wreaths.
well... I bought mine years ago from Floret and have just saved seed after that. I think 'The Farmhouse Flower Farm" is having a sale now. She tends to have similar varieties.

When do you plant the snapdragon transplants outside, what month?
Usually shortly after my last frost. April

Most come from Johnny's selected seeds
Have you had issues transplanting sweet peas? Do you use a deep pot? I’m also in OR 8b a little south from you
I do use deep root cell trays. Johnyy's has some
