How To Make An Eyelet

Monday morning Eyelet making 👁️ These are a few tricks for making really nice tidy eyelets that can be purely decretive or functional. I love eyelets and use them as openings for drawstrings and buttonholes and for creating decorative borders around wall hangings.
Tips: Always use sharp, pointy scissors to clip a small hole. Keep in mind that as you stitch around the hole, it will open up and become larger. Giving the thread a good tug creates a tidy opening. If the hole isn’t opening up enough, clip away a little more fabric and make sure you’re tugging the thread. Last but not least, have fun.
I'm wearing needle grabbers on my fingers, which allow me to hold onto the needle with a gentler grip while cutting down on hand fatigue.
