Stump the Schwab (May 27, 2005) - Season 2 Championship!

- I was going to upload a batch of season 3 Thom McKee TTDs, but I'm going to push that back in favor of a week of uploads where Black Lives Matter. Specifically, I'll be posting some (IMO) underrated game shows with black emcees.
This one takes a look at the ESPN show Stump the Schwab, a game of sports trivia hosted by the late Stuart Scott. This particular episode is the season finale where former contestants Adam, Nick, and Mike return hoping to take home $25,000 in the Schwab Showdown. Who will make it, and will they win out in the end?
All uploads are for archival purposes and do not intend to infringe on any copyright holders' rights. If there are any issues, please tell me so and I will comply as best I could. - บันเทิง
Can we remake this show. This is where I learned most of sports as a kid . RIP Stuart!
I learned by watching actual sports. .. . Schwab is reading from cue cards. . He ain't as smart as the show makes him out to be. I would beat his ass
@@jamedlock83 yes but this show kept me in check with the records and stats I would stomp Schwab too
Y'all don't know!! Its tough to be an expert in any field!! But yes most tv is controlled and contrived to look or depict someone as different than the actual reality. I saw a special on him and he really is crazy with the sports knowledge. Y'all might be good but all Y'all Could Not Beat Al Bundy!!!
The Dozen!
No. Schwab wouldn’t be walked out by hot women on today’s ESPN.
RIP Schwab. This was my favorite show on ESPN growing up.
Back when ESPN was fun, they had Karate programs, World Strongest, Texas Hold’em, Pool Championship, Shows like this, around the horn, pti, many others.
Now it’s the fight against racism, oppression and sexism….
Bowling and bass fishing too 😢
This swagger of Stuart Scott is crazy
Legit crazy. Dude has aura before it was aura.
WTF is WRONG with you?
@@bee1444- Arguably the DUMBEST thing I've heard in years
@@BBAKER22 you must not go outside much
Deepest bag of all time
ESPN used to put on so much more interesting programming than they do now. This is one of my all-time favorites: Stump the Schwab.
Even being a life-long sports-fan, I was shocked at how much I didn't know and how much Schwab and other contestants know on this "jeopardy-esque" show...
Espn classic was such a good channel too
@@Antbeast23right?!?
some of the stuff they know is just insane to me as someone who’s watched sports my whole life
I was friends and worked with the Schwab as a counselor at a sleep away camp Oxford-Guilford in upstate NY back in the early 80's and myself and our friends knew he was special with this shit and we used to play "Stump the Schwab" for free back than. Howie was amazing back in the day as none of us could stump him. So myself and my buddies take full credit for his success as we gave him all the practice and confidence he needed to become the sports trivia savant he eventually ended up becoming at ESPN...lol...;)
RIP to Stuart and Schwab 😢
Just saw this msg
RIP Howie Schwab and Stuart Scott
Loved Stump the Schwab back in the day. Hugs and hand pounds(with the blow up!)
RIP! He had the knowledge we wish we had
RIP Stuart Scott. Best sports show of all time!

I miss this show so badly! I just discovered it a few years before Stuart Scott passed. RIP.
You are not lying bro. I was glued to this show
Jonah Hill frontin as Adam Garfield
Mike kinda looks like Dave Foley too lol
literally grew up watching this on espn classic channel 26 man started my sports nerdness
RIP Schwab you will be missed
So funny to watch the sports ticker. Saw “mark prior left game in 4th inning with ball hitting elbow”. Dude got hurt so much I can watch a random video 20 years later and see him reported injured
He prob got hurt today too
“The pontiff of the potato chip” lmaooo I wonder if Stuart Scott came up with that himself
You can tell they loved the schwab by the star power on this show. Stuart Scott was the face of sportscenter and hosted this show.
This show was elite I miss this era espn
RIP Schwab.
RIP Howie.
I consider myself truly fortunate to have worked with you and to call you a friend for a lonnng time
I loved this show.
They need to bring this back
Absolutely love the creepy haunted house synth sound during the end battle
RIP SchwabMan!

You didn’t have to be a sports or sports trivia person to watch this show. Loved Stump the Schwab back in the day. RIP Stuart😔
RIP Schwab
Rip Schwab. Used to watch this show every day before school as a kid. Back in the good ole days man
RIP SCHWAB
Man, I miss when ESPN had good shows. It's a joke now, I don't know many people who watch it now a day. It was on 24/7 growing up.

Underrated show! I always wanted a chance to go toe to toe with the Schwab one day when I was growing up.
My stepdad and I used to watch this show all the time! Gosh, Howie Schwab is a flipping legend! Go into glory, Mr. Scott, another legend gone before his time.
RIP Schwabby and Stu. My favorite show as a kid !
Would love to see more! Thanks for uploading.
RIP Stuart and Shawb
RIP to 2 legends
I forgot about this show….. I was hype when that first guy went toe to toe with the schwab
Hope they're working on the reboot in Heaven right now.
Used to watch this show religiously on ESPN Classic
RIP Schwab and Stu 💔
And now rest in peace schwab.
RIP Schwab and Stu
Greatest Sports Show Ever
My family & I watch this show together.
I was a sports wiz.
Loved this show as a kid and this is why I know some random absurd sports facts. RIP Schwab and Stu! This was the golden age of ESPN
Schwab was not a fan of those confetti cannons lol
I remember this championship episode when I was 4 years old in 2005 Stuart Scott was my ESPN childhood favorite.
would love to see this come back.
Man my favorite show on espn as a kid. Where I got so addicted to sports and sports stats
RIP Schwab. You can tell that the time Stuart spent talking about Schwab having the ability to lock out the contestant and rereading the question was what was needed by the Schwab to win (nothing done intentionally, just worked out that way). Schwab was asking Stuart to reread the question when he cut him off and started to explain the game situation, and you see Schwab knock the table when he realized he knew the answer.
"Ted Turner" lol! RIP Stu and Schwab....excellent show!
lol, before you answer, ill read this again!
RIP Stu!
This was my Last Day as a 9th Grade Freshmen finally PASSED HISTORY FINAL EXAM in Mr. Cammack, Health Class Coach Peak, Algebra I in Ms. Hare, and Study Skills in Mr. Short, then in Ms. White's room next door to Ms. Hare's room with Ms. Toyer ALL DAY

A L L E N D O Y L E
My guess for the following 2 Coaches would have been 1 of the following 3.
First Miami Heat Coach:
1: Ron Rothstein
2: Alvin Gentry
3: Pat Riley
Entire Career One Game Atlanta Braves Coach:
1: Ted Turner
2: Chris Cannizzaro
3: Dave Bristol
RIP to both of these legends, Stuart and the Schwab 🙏❤️
16 years ago! Lord time flies
Schwab and Scott In heaven together…. I remember watching this coming home from school
This character is the Seth rogen moneyball movie super villain origin story 🤣
Aw man RIP Howie Schwab. This was just recommended to me the other day, and now I know why.
I was just about to graduate high school when this episode dropped
Please bring back this show and any new episodes coming out any time soon?
peak ESPN right here
Rest peacefully, Schwab and Stu
Can you please post more episodes from Stump the Schwab? I love this show, but cannot find episodes or DVDs for this show anywhere
I would not normally ask, but do you happen to have any episodes of "ESPN's Bowling Night" or if not, do you at least remember the FULL lyrics to the theme song from the show?
I miss the old ESPN that was actually worth something.
How the hell did he not get Mark Mcgwire? Even I knew that
R.I.P. to Schwab and Stuart Scott.
RIP to the 🐐 Stuart Scott
God ESPN used to have such a cool energy to it
This is like the Autism Super Bowl
idk if there is anyone like the schwab or stuart scott to remake this tho... i'd still like to see them bring this back.,
Any new episodes coming out any time soon
This was the best sports game show and would love a semi remake with Hembo. Would be so dope
Question is who would be the host? Greeny?
@dannyboy34677
No Greeny doesn't have the chops. I think the best option would be Ryan Clark
@@dakinglip I wouldn’t mind Ryan Clark either
How he didn't know that Mark McGwire question is insane. He hit 49 for Oakland the season he won the award and hit 70 for St. Louis but somehow he knew the Mike Hampton question... I would've guessed Russ Ortiz 🤷♂️
I was stunned by that too. He knew all these obscure answers I would've never had a shot at yet I knew the Mark McGwire question and found myself repeatedly saying it as he struggled... 16 years after this aired lmao. He was hitting three pointers all game but missed the layup.
What's it going to take for ESPN to get back to good programming like this. Somehow they've lost their way.
Only the goats remember. If you here rn I salute
These were the times..
My man is wearing a lime green shirt. I love it.
Do you have any more Stump the Schwab episodes?? My Brother in Law 'stumped the schwab' in season 3 and I think came back in season 4 for a championship round. We cant find it anywhere!
Chris Calagiro?
RIP Stuart Scott
The 2000s was a great decade of sports programming. Wish Pros vs Joes lasted longer…
Is there a way to get the episodes on Pluto TV?
I had no idea Jonah Hill was such a sports trivia wiz
Doesn't this guy look like Jonah Hill in Moneyball????
