I would love to see that, also how much does one have to pay for a virtual edition of Beat The Geeks to have the actual geeks appear on your Zoom meeting?
Thanks for bringing this show back! I completely forgot about this show! IMHO, J. Keith was better than the second host. I thought Blaine Capatch was annoying!
20:58 WOOHOO!!! EDIT: Also, 12:47 AND 13:27 The Comic Book Geek seriously hates Blade? This reminds me of that one Season 2 episode where Andy Zax (the normal Music Geek) dissed Coolio after failing to name one of his albums.
But that scenario was easier to get correct than what the Comic Book Geek had to deal with here. See the episode with the Toy Geek for more on that. And lastly it was 2 albums. I can name all 4 of them but here’s not the place for it.
hey isn't that the same comic book geek from season 2 it's been so many years since i remember he was one of my favorite special guest geeks and i like comics to and movies of them to thanks bro your awesome
Thank you for posting this!!! I remember watching this show as a kid and dreamed of always being on it. I love reading as a kid and I am filled with awesome and useless knowledge...My geekest thing is I have read THE GREAT GATSBY 3 times, one of the greatest American novels of all time!!! ❤
I think Klaatu could have also been considered a movie reference. Michael Rennie played a character named Klaatu in The Day the Earth Stood Still. It's irrelevant because he chose the wrong answer and I'm just a feeeeew years late with this trivia but I figured I'd throw it out there. Thanks for the upload, I always loved this show.
Sometimes when a challenge ends early, J. Keith likes to give the geek a show-off question to see what would have happened but most of the time, the geek ends up getting it right.
How didnt he know joel and ethan coen? I swear i would have been a geek on this show. (I do have a very close to photographic memory though) (Its a fucking curse really :( )
2023, and I believe in this new generation of Pop Culture, they can Reboot this show, with the same 3 Primary Geeks, and some of the most beloved Special Geeks: - Star Wars - Star Trek - Simpsons - South Park - Friends - Comic Book - Horror - James Bond - Beetles - Toy - Michael Jackson And some New Special Geeks: - Gamer - Sports - Elvis - Madonna - Anime - Family Guy - Thrones - Walking Dead - NCIS - Food - Beyoncé - Toon
This is a December 2001 episode of the short-lived American TV show "Beet The Geeks" (it already ended on Comedy Central - United States) & it's from season one. 🇺🇲 🇺🇲
Klaatu -- the band -- named themselves after the main character of the 1951 classic The Day the Earth Stood Still. You can see the Movie Geek raising his hand as the camera pulls back; I am sure he wanted to point this out.
I have an Aunt who lives in LA for like 30 years and does things like writing and whatnot. She used to be the cohost of a podcast called “the Popcorn Mafia,” which mainly discussed films. One of her guests back in the day was the “TV Geek” Paul Goebel, as he and my aunt are actually pretty good friends. I remember my aunt telling me when she visited me and the rest of the family in Colorado as I was watching this show that Paul’s knowledge of television was very extensive, even referring to the amount of trivia he knows about TV as “stupid.” I also remember him running a website that was dedicated to nothing but TV where he encouraged people to try to stump him on his knowledge. So to sum it up, you’re wrong.
Adam, seriously you NEED to do a Beat The Geeks reunion on HAH!
I would love to see that, also how much does one have to pay for a virtual edition of Beat The Geeks to have the actual geeks appear on your Zoom meeting?
Thanks for These Beat The Geek shows!! Please upload more when you can!
Love this show!!!
16:21 You can tell that Movie Geek wanted to say that Klaatu is also the name of the alien from "The Day The Earth Stood Still"
Excellent game show classic!!
Thanks for bringing this show back! I completely forgot about this show! IMHO, J. Keith was better than the second host. I thought Blaine Capatch was annoying!
But J Keith wasn't geeky enough, & he got replaced by Blaine Capatch in Season 2.
Thanks so much for this, makes me feel 30 years younger ,
This and video arcade top 10 were my 2 favorite shows growing up in the 90s in Canada
I remember Video Arcade Top 10 on YTV.
How in the world of geek culture today does this not get rebooted?
More Beat the Geeks, please.
Never saw this episode. Nice! TV Geek make me laugh.
Nice I love that game show
Never fails to make me happy!! I’m a pop culture geek and I’m proud of it. Andy Sax was the best music geek. Fuck that other guy!!!
Klatuu was also a character in The Day The Earth Stood Still
20:58 WOOHOO!!!

20:58 Congrats, Michael. That episode in Season 2, I got a feeling that the Music Geek hasn’t listen to Coolio’s albums.
This is the most early 2000s thing I've ever seen.
hey isn't that the same comic book geek from season 2 it's been so many years since i remember he was one of my favorite special guest geeks and i like comics to and movies of them to thanks bro your awesome
Thank you so much for this Beat The Geeks episode.
😀
thanks bro your awesome i never saw this episode before
I am extremely heartbroken Michael and Wade did not know David Cassidy.
Same he was the easiest Partridge actor to get of the 2. Even crazier that he asked the photo what his name was.
How convenient? I knew it was David Cassidy.
Even I wouldn’t have gotten that right.

@21:07, isn't that same siren used on Sale of the Century and Scrabble?

I remember this episode vividly
Understandable, lack of 15 Second Geek Offs make it easy to forget sometimes.
wade is a 90s meme walking
You should have J. Keith and Tiffany for hosts at home one of these days!
9:22 let the insults fly
Sometimes when a challenge ends early, J. Keith likes to give the geek a show-off question to see what would have happened but most of the time, the geek ends up getting it right.
Actually it was Blaine Capatch’s season they did that.
My bad.
I would be the Kotter/ John Travolta geek
I remembered this show from when I was little, coming back now all I can think is how the host looks like James Rolfe.
How didnt he know joel and ethan coen? I swear i would have been a geek on this show. (I do have a very close to photographic memory though) (Its a fucking curse really :( )
There was a time where I would’ve destroyed the Simpsons geek.
Bring this back
Klattu could have also been from a movie. Klattu vatara nicktu...
what was the next word in the sequence of geekqualizer.... badu? shampoo? achoo?
Testicles
Need more episodes!!
Comic Book Geek was on Double Dare in 1988.
what the heck? how do you know that?
How did he do?
@@ericzubyk2329 He was in the episode Pasta People (Adam & Nicole) vs. Ro Jos (Joanna & Roger)
@@300zxbear2 I guess it pasta his time
J Keith you make me proud to be a geek boss!!!
Is there a way to get rid of that audio hiss if I download it?
The three contestants competing on this episode are Michael, Erin & Wade.
Can you upload an episode with the Friends Geek.
Troma!

shouldn't klaatu be in the movies category?
Nope, they’re straight up music.
Klaatu -- the band -- named themselves after the main character of the 1951 classic The Day the Earth Stood Still. You can see the Movie Geek raising his hand as the camera pulls back; I am sure he wanted to point this out.
I love how useless the prizes are.
I don't remember this show
Just not the same without Blaine.
I didn't know Matt Damon hosted this show?!
And I’m with WADE that stupid nest on Movie Geek head got to go!!! And I got that question right about the Coen Brothers you missed Mark!!!
4:46 that did not age well
Ah yes, When Comedy Central was NPC Central.
3:30 FCC
So cheesy, tedious, slow-paced, and dull. Still sorta fun. In a geeky way.
The geeks weren't experts in anything. They were actors given info before the show.
False

This show was awful.
Yes....in the best of ways lol
