I also did a similar demo of this for the Microsoft Copilot Learning Hub series, check it out here learn.microsoft.com/en-us/shows/copilot-learning-hub/revolutionize-your-budgeting-with-copilot-for-finance-in-excel
Thank you so much for the explanation!! I just didn't manage to download the file used in the demo. It shows that the website if offline. Would you be so kind to re-upload it, pls?
Thank you for the feedback. I'm not sure why it shows being offline, as it is located on Microsoft OneDrive. I suspect, for you, sharing the file might be different from sharing the folder that contains the file. I have now changed the link to the folder instead of the file. Please try again to download it. Thanks.
That's the same challenge another person emailed me after watching this video and tried to reconcile. If the discrepancies follow a structure or rule, then we can use certain text manipulation functions to create the corresponding matching "description" text first, then put them into Copilot for reconciliation. If you like, you can email your Excel file with sample data and detail explanation, I will take a look to see if that could be handled with formulas first before putting into Copilot. You can find my email contact from my website. Thanks.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure what you encountered when trying to download, there are all kinds of causes. If you like, you can email me with more details, I'm willing to explore with you together to find out the cause. You can find my email on my website. We may need to go back and forth multiple times to investigate.
Copilot for Finance will be able to provide AI-powered, role-based workflow automation, recommendations and guided actions in the flow of work for finance team. In the current preview, only reconciliation capability is available. As per Microsoft's announcement, variance analysis will become available later. Based on the way Microsoft has been going with all those various copilots, I would not be surprised down the road, it may be able to compile profit and loss and balance sheet. It might be difficult to predict when that could happen though.
@jankolb9079, Do you mean to “download” the sample data used in the video? If that’s the case, you can use the link provided in the video description to download.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I have limitations in reconciling with Copilot in cases where the descriptions are different. How can I overcome this limitation?

Is there anything available to compile Profit and Loss and Ballance sheet?
