  • I wanted to share my thoughts on this DeWALT Brushless 3-Speed Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit DCS356C1. I got this tool on sale over the holiday season and was eager to try it out. This is an unboxing video and quick demonstration of this tools features.

    *Love this **MyBest.Tools** have the original dremel oscillating tool but it's corded which is fine in many instances but this is so versatile. Must have for any tool monger like me.*

    OK -- Thank you for that info. -- I thought that the Dewalt could be locked at it's highest speed -- (iwthout having hands on the trigger ) -- so I was hoping it could also be locked at the 3 different speeds. --- Great Video ! --- Thanks again !

    I noticed you changed the blade angle. Mine does it when I pushing on it. I thought mine might be deflective, but how I'm not sure. When you change your angle do you have to squeeze the blade lever or is it just pressure? Thanks,

    I've got 2 questions ; (1) Regarding the Variable 3 Speeds ; Can you use the 3 speed selector and not have to use the trigger ? -- or do you always have to use the Trigger to initiate the motor ? --- (2) Do you know if my Dremel Oscillating Blades will work with the Dewallt clamping method -- or will I have to use that add on collar that you showed ? ----- Enjoyed your video.

      ( 1) You always have to use the trigger, the speed selectors only limit the max speed. Speed is also controlled by feathering the trigger. (2) I doesn't appear that Dremel's standard blades will attach without using the adapter, however the Dremel brand makes universal attachment blades that quick attach to any brand that would work without the adapter. Thanks for watching!

    Whats the difference with the older model the dcs355?

    • @TJLawrence254
      @TJLawrence254  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The DCS356b has the same motor, tool length, voltage, and max RPM as the DCS355b. The Additional features on the 6 vs the 5 is the 3-speed switch at the bottom of the tool and an LED light on the head of the tool. The 3 speed switch gives you more fine control of the cutting speed.

      IMy experience says its not worth buying more expensive blades. I haven't seen any advantage of buying $15 blade to 50 cent blades from Amazon. Both wear out quickly and I never saw increased blade life by paying more. I retooled blades once in awhile using grinder, its not perfect but it gave more life to the blade that you would otherwise throw away.

    Dewalt Europe are a ripoff and have a joke website... I bought a couple of there 18v tools but that didnt last long.. Too expensive, starting to charge almost the price of the actual tools for spare parts.. I mean to get a replacment switch for my brushless impact, I have to buy the complete unit motor and the works... Not worth it, they know that too.. Hoping you chuck it in the bin and buy another... Both Milwaukee and dewalt are now dong this practice with there latest stuff... I made the switch to makita, everythings availible down to the individual parts, no rippoff.. Better tools and more reasonably priced for me here in Europe.. Dewalt you SUCK !!!
