Would you lower the requirements for green light at lower levels ? Like high school would be less than your team (college) and then middle school would be lower than HS?
Great question, coach. For my high school girls, I have not lowered the requirements for green light shooting. Not sure if you coach boys or girls but for the girls' side, I only had 1 Maker, so when coach Neighbors presented this shooting series and DVD, this was perfect. Like he said this Green Light Shooting reduces arguments over playing time and why X player gets to take so many shots. Reason why I didn't adjust the standards was because I wanted to see who was going to be motivated to get in the gym or stay longer after practice to get shots up and improve. With these shooting drills, you will find out that on Monday before or after practice, you will have 4-5 girls staying after or coming in early to get that green light license. The next week, you will have 2-3 or you might have more, depending on who is motivated to be the best. But to answer your question, for me, I did not but you can make adjustments as needed.
