I am 57 old and I heard rock since I was 3 (my older brother and sister influence) but I never, NEVER, felt the same emotions as I hear Dani, Pau and Ale. EVERY time I listen to any song I could not avoid to smile, laugh as a baby, to feel shivers of emotion and to have tears in my eyes. THANKS Dani, Pau and Ale, you are gift for all of us

We can't really put our fingers on it either, but it happens. I'm going way into corny right now, but, I think what it is is that we love these girls. I mean, like they are our family, like we've always known them. You may have noticed The Warning Army is a dedicated bunch of folks. It's because we absolutely are head-over-heals addicted to The Warning. They are so real, and have given us the privilege of joining them on their journey into their hopes and dreams. They touch our souls by baring theirs; through their music, their energy, their dedication... their smiles.
I discovered them in late July, 2018, and by late September, I had purchased plane tickets to fly to California, from Connecticut, to attend their show. I had vowed, thirty years prior, to never fly again. Flying TERRIFIED me. I went, and I met a bunch of people who are now real friends of mine, and who had done basically the same thing. That night, there were 24 states and 7 countries represented. Aside from Canada, Mexico and The US, the rest of the countries were from your side of the Atlantic.(forgive me TWA, if that's not 100% accurate) Making that trip felt as natural as driving to a friends house for dinner, albeit it was a LOT more exciting!!
Many of us thought you were going to react to "Black Holes", a song which has brought many of us to tears, but we fully understand your reaction to this one. There was certainly no need to apologize, and I'll take the liberty of thanking you, on behalf of TWA, for sharing this video in spite of how this song hit you. This was one of the best reaction videos I have ever seen; and I have seen many, many reaction videos.
The Warning is the best band out there right now, and I make no apologies for saying that.

The Warning Army has been speculating all weekend on the song that broke you and all bets were on one of their ballads for the content can be heavy. I don't think we were considering our initial emotions when we were simply struck by the bands pure talent, hard work and integrity. It is quite something to witness something so innocent rock so hard and with the passion of theses three young ladies. I think for me it was their very first performance of Exterminated that broke me into a 50 year old ball of snot and tears. It not the subject matter of the song but witnessing something truly special in the making.

I'm not sure why they got to him but I believe that since he is in a band and knows what it takes to be a good musician plus knows how hard some songs are to play the fact that a trio can do it instead of 4, 5 or more band members is a mystery. Not to mention how young the girls are.

Johi you don’t have to apologize and even when you had trouble finding the correct words, I understood you perfectly. Music does that to us all my friend, music is one of the things that can reach down and grab your heart and pull emotions out of you that you thought was long buried or long dead.
Personally I thought you would be reacting to the song black holes from the Dakota bar, that is a song written by Pau the drummer at age 13.. how the hell does a 13 year old girl write a song that can turn a crowd into a bunch of people with tears in there eyes?.. she is just a guifted songwriter and preformer.. simply amazing. I hope you get to it soon..have tissues handy..lol

  • @mrpeppery
    @mrpeppery 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

I’m going to list my top 10+ reasons why someone could get very emotional listening to these three do their thing.
    1. They are girls. Yeah, sounds sexist. It’s the opposite. We just aren’t used to seeing teenage girls blow our socks off playing hard rock music. I’m covering both the sex and the age here. For me, as a father of two girls, it’s wonderful to see these sisters doing what they do and being so awesome at it and getting recognized for it.
    2. They are just lovely. I hope nobody is offended by me saying that about three teenagers, but I’ve felt the same way about my own daughters since they were born 18-20 yrs ago so there doesn’t need to be anything negative about the observation. And in case I need to say this, that encompasses every aspect of them that we can see, not just physical appearance.
    3. They are SISTERS! That matters to me. Especially (again) as a father. It matters in at least two ways. A) First, this group of musicians would be hard to process even if somebody has scoured the globe looking for those three talents. But they came from the same home, the same family, the same music room, the same piano lessons. B) Beyond that, there is something beautiful about three sisters doing this together, the connection and synergy they have, and the shared experiences they are having. Knowing that they are in it together and taking care of each other. That just makes me happy.
    4. They are just so stunningly good! All of them. I’m a drummer (maybe “was” would be a better word) and I marvel at what Pau can do with her sticks, never mind the fact that she sings at the same time and not just simple backup doo-wap harmonies. If you think playing the guitar and singing at the same time is hard, try it with all four of your limbs going in separate directions at the same time. I’m not sure I could play the drums and sing Mary Had a Little Lamb at the same time. Ale is an absolute beast on the bass at 15 yrs of age, and has already been so for more than half a decade. And an awesome pianist as well! And I lose all ability to contract my jaw muscles watching Daniela effortlessly shred her guitar riffs while belting out her kickass vocals at the same time.
    5. They are humble, self-effacing, they embrace the joy in what they are doing.
    6. They pretend to be nobody on stage except themselves. For me, that makes it easier to connect with them as artists.
    7. They are raw energy. Their ability to lose themselves and just let go while performing is just as important as the technical aspects of their performance themselves.
    8. No, they didn’t write this song, but knowing that they have written and recorded two going on three albums (plus an EP) worth of original music just boggles my mind given their age. And it’s right there in the back of my mind even when they are performing a cover.
    9. They are so respectful of the genre they have chosen as well as the performers who have come before them (and this applies both when they are performing covers and originals).
    10. Notwithstanding the above, they are themselves. They have their own stage identity, their own musical identity. Every song they perform is theirs, stamped with their own unique identity.
And for all the above reasons there is this one overriding bonus reason. We connect with them. On a pretty deep level. It’s not an us-them thing, it feels to me like a we thing. And when you connect with an audience, you can deliver feelings and emotion. Which can, at times be overwhelming.

Totally totally agreed. I have four daughters myself. Dany, Pau, and Ale are beautiful inside and out. I can't imagine how proud Mom and Dad are here. They are so supportive of each other...as one example, Dany looks out for little sister when Ale is hesitant to sing lead.

Everything they sing, whether it be their own, or someone else's composition. *THEY SING IT LIKE THEY FRIGGIN' WROTE IT THEMSELVES!!* The amount of emotion and raw talent that goes into everything they do is just stunning! Now Johi... you know how a lot of US feel, and why we are so protective of these musical treasures!😁 I'm a grown-ass 64 year old guy that has been a mechanic, musician, and computer tech most all of my life. I've been in supercars that would snap your neck if it weren't for a helmet and a good headrest. I've ridden radical street and dirt bikes that would just as soon throw you to the ground, as let you ride them! Yet... just let Paulina wail out the lyrics for 'Black Holes' or 'The End (Stars always seem to fade)', or even her impromptu performance of Radiohead's 'Creep', or Dany's live rendition of Crimson Queen, and I turn into a big crybaby! The karma between these sisters to produce music like this at such a young age is just unreal. There's a lot of times I wish I had taken better care of myself so I could actually get out and see and hear these wonderful young ladies perform live, but that's not likely to happen.😐 I just have to be satisfied with keeping their music close and using it to keep me going. Dany said it best at TedX just before they played 'Survive'. "Music is Passion. Music is Hope, Music is *LIFE!"* 😍🎵🎶🎵👍 Rock on brother, we totally get it!😉 🤘😎🤘

I know the feeling. Discovered them about a month or two ago from when Muse shared Ale's Hysteria cover and am practically gushing all the good things I want to say about them. I listen to their music and I am floored. I listen to especially Take Me Down, Free Falling, Survive, Black Holes, When I'm Alone, Unmendable, Copper Bullets, Show Me the Light, River's Soul, Dust to Dust, Stalker, Dull Knives, The End, everything and think how in the world are they writing so many songs that I just love, especially at their ages. We're talking Muse Hysteria, Tool Schism, Foo Fighters Everlong, Soundgarden Spoonman, U2 Where the Streets Have No Name here in my love for these songs. I see Ale (I am an introvert too) singing lead on River's Soul in the basement and I feel so proud and like I have found the band that I have been looking for all along. :-) I work for an airline...wherever these girls perform after covid, I am there..............multiple times.

An amazing, honest reaction Johi, thank you. For me there are many things that provide that level of passion and emotion when you see these three ladies do what they do. They are genuine, funny and caring and have an amazing relationship with their fans, I have never witnessed a band before whose fans means as much to them as they do to us. Their sheer talent, these 3 ladies are masters of their craft already, watching them perform is always a joy because you know you are watching a band give 110% every single time. Dany is one of the finest frontwomen in rock already and they haven't even hit the big time yet. And there is pride, when I personally watch them perform I feel a sense of pride that these 3 young ladies that pulled me in from the first note of the first song I heard...are absolutely knocking it out the park. Music always has the power to move you...and when it is performed by a band this special you just need to give in. As a special young lady once said "Music is passion, music is hope...music is life"

No worries Johi, I have found myself sheding a tear or two from watching these girls. Maybe it is a combination of joy, pride in how far they've come and knowing how deserving they are of their success. Been watching these girls for a few years now and it truly is incredible how much emotion they bring up in me, which is why i keep coming back :)

They are magical Johi, That's the truth. I can be listening to any song that they have written I start Crying like a baby.
The only other band that I know that can do that to me is the guitar player David Gilmore from Pink Floyd, Thank God for Pink Floyd .

Thank you for this, it was very pleasant and emotional to live this with you.

I understand your reaction. I’ve compared the Foo Fighters video to this one and the girls put much more energy into this performance. Hard to say but I prefer it to the Foo Fighters version. These girls can reach in your chest and rip out your heart.

Did someone slip some fesh cut onion in your drink? lol But really though.... Dany said it best at Tedx before playing Survive.. music is Life and they have burst into yours in a great way to make you feel emotion that way. i know I get choked up on some songs now and then.. not even the same songs. somedays its just hits you in a different way that you needed that day. Nothing to apologize for bro. I hope you are following them on Instagram.. you can really see how goofy they can be but also some cool pics and have a look at their RL personallities. and join their patreon if you havent yet. looks like you need to come join the rest of us TWA in their discord ^^ keep em coming Bud be safe cioa for now

Good buddy. Be sure your emotional support is turned to 11 for “Black Holes Never Fade” as it rips away at the heartstrings!
Live at Foro Didi or at The Dakota Bar, which you see her smile at the audience singing along.

It is the appropriate response. That rock as hard/loud as the foo fighters and they have one less guitar and a lead singer who has to sing also

It was very sweet of the Foo Fighters to write this song for The Warning. That could be why it sounds better than the original cut.
