    This is something that took me so long to really understand because people would discuss it assuming everyone knew what it was so I appreciate you going into this with such detail!!☺

      Right?! People always assume everyone knows everything in Tech, so you gotta secretly google it on your phone real quick 😭 I'm glad it was helpful!

    I'm just beginning my investigation into Scrum and I'm so glad I ran across your video. I'm begining to realize that outside the context this was intended for, it actually has other applications as in I wish I knew this when I "managed" a big team at Church and it was a nightmare (lol). I think knowing Scrum would help one privately develop good relationships and To Do list habits :-) It was nice to listen to someone without a heavy accent. I'm going to check out other videos you might have done. Thank you!

    Literally just began learning about agile. Want to confirm some things.
    1) If agile is a set of values and principles, does that mean corporations like Amazon and it's 12 leadership principles, and ByteDance's ByteStyles is considered agile?
    2) I'm learning this from marketing class, and agile seems more like stuff for managing a company...so what does that have to do with me?

    Omg, THANK YOU. In all the videos I was watching (including one that they played in a course I'm taking), they really just made the concept of Agile way more confusing, and I was not understanding. Then I watch your beautiful, straight to the point, perfectly explained video & I totally get it. Your video is even shorter than some of the others I watched, and I understood much more. Also, your video was not boring like the others. Love this video so much! Thank you!!

    Just wanted to say thank you for these breakdowns and your channel overall. Recently laid off in IT field and I’m tired of feeling like I can’t advance anywhere so I started looking into learning Python. The biggest issue I’ve been facing is all the new terminology I’m coming across when trying to learn what I can do with Python as I continue with it. Scrum and agile were definitely part of the “what the heck is all this?!” camp. While I still feel a bit overwhelmed with it all, your breakdown here has taken bloated vocabulary and made it really digestible.
    You’re a light in the darkness for me right now so thank you so much for putting these videos out. I hope I can report back one day with a decent income/remote job under my belt. I’ll hopefully have you (and probably others too lol) to thank for it!

    Good content! Good overview. This topic could easily be 20 separate videos in a playlist. I have seen presentations from Robert Martin and Jeff Sutherland on the topic that are also good resources. One of my main pet peeves of the process is the estimation process (how is this task a 2? LOL). One of the things I really think is value-added is the daily standup for accountability. By using daily standup, you identify bottlenecks and blocks quickly.

    • @SenegoddessTech
      @SenegoddessTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow the escalations can definitely be frustrating, especially in the beginning. Like how do you even know what a four is when you're just starting out lol! But yes the standups essential, especially because it makes you actually get some work done!

    I know this applies to software development, but I've worked as an implementation Consultant for 5 years. We had weekly meetings with the client then internal meetings. On our meetings we discussed challenges or provided updates. The scrum master sounds like our project manager. We met weekly so that's like a one week sprint. Is this considered an agile scrum approach?
