Haha i just bought one for $5,900 with 62k miles. I dont know why i was drawn to it so much but i hope it was a good purchase. The reviews all seem quite great across the board.
Out of curiosity, how often do you have the AWD locked/how often do you change the drive modes? Wondering if the car is fine with it being always set to one mode or constantly switching between modes
@@Rossski I've never used "LOCK." Even though I was in MO for the 1st. 2 yrs. of ownership, I never needed it. In MO, I normally left it in AWD, being that there is a lot more WX than where I am now. Some say, its quicker in 2WD, but I never noticed, unless the "Traction Control" was disabled. My SX4 consistently recorded 1 MPG more driving in 2WD, which is negligible. My best mods were to add a rear stabilizer bar and tires that went one step lower profile and from a width of 205 to 215. The car is a great slow car to drive fast.

Got my '09 Crossover Touring Edition in '08 and have loved it ever since. Very smart, attractive exterior and roomy interior. Doesn't feel small. I've used it in snow and on ice, and coupled with Winter tires in the Northwest, the iAWD has given me confidence in adverse conditions. The model I have includes heated front seats, steering wheel controls, heated mirrors, fog lights, a premium 9-speaker audio system and door handle keyless entry. I've gotten many compliments on it, too. The only thing I would have Suzuki change is to offer better fuel mileage on this model.
My Brother and I sat in one at the NY Auto Show, and we both were amazed at how surprisingly roomy it is.He was considering buying one, but eventually bought a secondhand Subaru. I love the sedan variant too but I wished that it too came with AWD.Well regardless, I still want one whether its a wagon or sedan.
Fun to drive. Don't let the automatic shift for you. Have some fun and shift it yourself. A great value but...........Lousy fuel mileage. Getting 24 on the highway and that includes using Startron Fuel Additive. Very disappointed..... Fortunately my wife only drives 3 miles round trip daily so we can live with. Did I mention it's fun to drive? We love it!!!
I know this is 6 years old. But driving a car on only very short trips always gives poor mileage due to the car still being in warm up fuel trim(all modern cars run very rich until warm). And obviously 3 miles is not enough to warm up and obviously not exactly a highway run.
Easily the most underrated car on the road. Mine is now 12 yrs young and nothing but brakes & tire replacements.

What happens if you try to lock the AWD while going more than 30 mph?
