"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.
The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

Actually, by doing that, she got the attention from the producers. A mom with no drama just wouldn't be interesting for the show and she would have never been called back as a guest time and time again.

I didnt notice the first time I watched this but you’re right! They just shoved ‘maddie’ in there! Especially considering how they changed the shot to not show Abby talking at the end of her sentence.
Abby probably said ‘dance intended for jojo’ but they edited over it
It’s what they do they edit out the boring parts they put in the parts that are drama or could bring it
she might of originally said chloe and then dubbed maddie over it because this was at the beginning of s5 and they probably had dances planned out for chloe but because she didn't come back in s5 they gave that solo to jojo and then sarah

It’s just the technique. You can’t see her flawed technique because you’re not a dancer, but the judges are professional dancers and they really judge all the aspects of the routine and dance, counting (as one of the principals) technique.

100% agree, Jojo’s technique and Sarah’s technique were not even in the same stratosphere. I never understood why Abby kept Jojo and Jess around because from day one, she had to change Jojo’s solo and her mother was just plain rude. I know Christy was a handful but Sarah was the stronger dancer in my opinion
