This game is seriously impressing me. It’s a lot more than I expected from a Kirby game.
I appreciate the occasional stretch of non-narrated gameplay. Gamespot has consistent quality reviews, even if I don't always agree. Thanks Evan Langer and Steven Petite!

This looks amazing. Probably my most hyped Switch game since Mario Odyssey. Glad to hear that it's awesome!
Too bad Mario Odyssey was awful. No platforming, only 13 levels, 99% of the moons were filler that took no work to get. Very disappointing after the brilliant parkour and platforming in Mario Galaxy 1&2.

I was thinking of buying ghost wire Tokyo, but I think I'm redirecting my 60 bucks for Kirby now.
I absolutely love this game.. One of my favorite switch titles to date. Such an amazing edition to Nintendos best 1st party lineup ever on a console.
Think it would’ve been cool if the second player would start off with bandana dee as the starting character, but then unlocked new characters (characters Kirby inhales to transform) that they could then choose to be before the level starts

This is a great game to play with the wife! We were super looking forward to this game and it did not disappoint. The game is definitely on the easy side, but playing co-op with someone who isn't great at action games really amps up the difficulty. The game is also really pretty to look at!
Even though I'm not a Kirby fan, I can't wait to play this:)
Finally a Kirby game in the same league as Crafted World, New Horizons, Three Houses, Odyssey, Legends Arceus, Dread, and Breath of the Wild.
Replace Sword and Shield with Legends Arceus and I'll wholeheartedly agree with you.

After playing the game last night for the first time, I really enjoyed Kirby, it’s better than expected tbh. Super happy with the game

this review is so much better than Nintendo Lifes review. In this review you can actually see how much more dynamic the gameplay is and how varied each level is. This actually looks like it might live up to the HYPE, honestly after planet robobot, Kirby has not had a better game yet, this might change that.
@Master Shifu meh I guess, but it was Gamespots review that truly convinced me to buy it, because if I never saw how different the gameplay was from level to level I would have gave it a pass.

Good review, the fact IGN gave star allies an higher score than FL is baffaling to me.
Different reviewers, different *opinions*. And if you really want to get technical, star allies was given an 8.3 by IGN and FL was given an 8. They no longer use a point scale, so the scores are effectively on par with one another.
I'm actually excited for my son to be able to play this...which will give me more Elden Ring time. But hearing his giggles of enjoyment is what I'm I'm looking forward to the most.
This was a solid games. Pretty good for Kirby
The figures also provide with lore. Don't say they don't do anything but sit in a digital album
Some of thr best storytelling ive seen in a while is on a kids game. Connecting minor details to piece together the larger story is an amazing experience. But of course game reviewers cant do a correct review.

So alot of these game gotten much easier to beat vs Nintendo GameCube, Wii, N64 etc. This game was not challenging versus the original SNES Kirby.

Definitely not the most mind blowing Nintendo game ever but a really great Kirby game. The selectable difficulty was also nice since Kirby games have always been pretty easy by design but much of the audience certainly is more competent than when Dream Land came out now lol. Still pretty relaxed but I feel like it hits the right balance as the game goes on to not be mindless. The treasure/challenge levels are a pretty cool touch as well since they typically help spotlight the differences of the evolutions.

Maybe it's just me I think everybody thought this game was open world they did not mark it this right it looks good though I can't play right now I gave my niece my Nintendo switch she wanted it but at least I got my Xbox I'm going to buy another one perception is a powerful thing they made it seem like it was an open-world is it was quite amazing though

They also make good consoles like that one most of their first party games are played on given the switch life time sales

People really overrate that game
They're obviously completely different games. Elden Ring looks bland with it's art style. Also not into the whole open world thing. Just not my cup of tea. This however, oozes charm and that magical Nintendo fun that they know how to do.
Better than Elden ring, Elden ring is the most overrated game of all time.
Elden ring is an A Quality souls open world game. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is an A Quality 3D platformer. Quality SABC. Elden Ring's popularity has made people resistant to it, its happened with Amongus, FridayNightFunkin, Breath of the wild, undertale, minecraft. Kirby will likely be received better because the gamer mindset is hard over easy. Among Nintendo players though Kirby will get the same annoying reputation as Elden ring.

My standards for $80 games have been raised since elden ring. The passion and effort that was put into that was not put into this game.
$80 it’s a solid no. Not to mention we’re entering a Great Depression. $80 is a lot for a few stages of simple easy and quite uninventive gameplay maybe for $40.

Never understand why a reviewer can’t take the time to narrate their own review?

Because narrating anything uses a different set of skills than writing a review. Anyone with the ability to speak can narrate, but would they be good at it? Would they be the best person to do so? What if they have a speech impediment? What if they're busy doing other work? What if they literally can't speak? Or maybe it's just not their job to record their voice for a video.
Because speaking/narrating and writing are two different skills. The reviewer may be a skilled writer but lacks the necessary speaking skills.
