Her mother was a legend who was among the few Filipinos who made it as a regular performer in Las Vegas. A singer comedienne who always brought the house down with her antics. She brought us so much happiness on TV and on stage.

In his career spanning more than three decades, Nievera has garnered eighteen platinum, five double platinum, three triple platinum, and one quadruple platinum albums. He is often referred to in the Philippines as the "Concert King".
Jaya herself does not even realize how precious she is..she is so humble..does not she know how talented and wonderful she is? She is also so beautiful
I guess Jaya knows how good she is but she doesn't puff up because of her achievements... And that's true humility... I'm also amazed by her good command of the English language... She's so polite and poised during her conversation... Truly full of respect for her... BTW, my wife is Filipino... So much into OPM and Filipino culture... Permanent resident of the Philippines
JAYA LANI MISALUCHA REGINE VELASQUEZ Are VOCAL TRINITY of the PHILIPPINES. They showed us their vocal prowess every Sunday in SOP in GMA. That’s ho they leave a mark and pave way to may aspiring artists both from GMA and ABS. Three of them are gems and hard to be replaced.
Jaya and her songs will always be remembered. Thru generations and generations. She will never be forgotten. I am for sure. Her songs and unique singing really lamented her name in the industry that no one can take it away. I so love her. Just so simple, funny and genuine.
Listening to Jaya tells us that whatever your level in life is, we need validation. See how genuinely appreciative she is despite not knowing them in person. Moral: tell anyone you know & you care that you value them, think of something you appreciate that they are good at. I call it a food for the soul.
Jaya is sooo humble! She is "BIG" in the Philippines, very popular! I grew up with her music also regine, lani, gary and martin, real deal ICONS! You were so lucky to have these (jaya/gary) legends in your podcast.. RESPECT! 🙌❤
YES, you're so fortunate to have these icons and other Philippine popular artists in your podcast. There are a bucketfull of more musicians and singers who have kinda influence the musical industry at present.
Jaya's record "wala na bang pagibig" was an LSS back in the 90s, I personally love that song because of simplicity. But her style in singing live is way different. She is a peculiar one when it comes to live stages especially in SOP show before. She would always change the arrangement in way that you would not recognize it especially because of her dynamic style in singing. I honestly didn't like it but probably because her style/technique was advance/unique at that time that the listeners like me would need time to comprehend. but now in this era her style is very relatable.
You have to invite Lea Salonga , she's witty, beautiful, smart and incredibly talented. It won't be complete without her. She put the Philippines on the map and has always been a trail blazer. Looking forward to see her soon.. pls do :)
@@vincxx3961 yes she is but i think the podcast is free and this is the time where it's easier to reach out to her just because she's at home. I know she has interview and guestings here and there especially in the US and masterclass but i hope their schedule will meet.
I hope Jaya would realize how many of us still wants to watch her in a concert and hear her sing 😭 I really miss going to concerts 😭❤️ Thanks for this, Wale and Efra. Looking forward to more amazing podcasts. 🥰
Thank you Wale and Efra for having Jaya in your podcast. She is our One and Only "Soul Queen". She is so down-to-earth Filipino musical icon who is still a strong force in the Philippines' music industry. Just like Mr. Gary V., Jaya is like a good wine, while it ages, it becomes more valuable and priceless. Their dedication to their craft and their passion and creativeness bring so much color and strong influence to the new generation of musical artists of the Philippines. Her career is still soaring because she has so much gratitude in her heart. She is so blessed. Such a beautiful soul...really a Queen of Soul! Hope Jaya's daughter will follow her footsteps or find her path in music in the future. This conversation is really AWESOME. Enjoyed tremendously! Thanks mucho!!! Love you, guys!😘💕
Lea Salonga contributed a lot for this country and opened a lot of doors not just for Filipinos but for every Asians. It'll be great if you can feature her and interview. She is full of wisdom and hella funny. I'll be the happiest if i'll see her being interviewed here and I know Waleska look up to her too. Grab this chance while we're still in quarantine. That was a fantastic to the superlative degree podcast with the one and only Asia’s Queen of Soul! Kudos to both of you Waleska and Efra for being able to feature these HUGE, HUUUUGEEE Filipino music icons in your channel !!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Hoping to see Martin Nievera or Lea Salonga next!
I had a chance to meet Jaya in person when she participated in a fund-raising concert for us. She's super down-to-earth, humble and very talented. Props to you guys for shining the spotlight on her!
I love that Jaya asked you questions, too. It wasn't just an interview, but a conversation. Nice to learn about Waleska and Efra as well as the artist.

Of course, this could not have happened without the superb interview skills of Wale and Efra. So sincere and earnest. Thank you!
One of my favorite podcast ever! Jaya is so hilarious. Jaya was one of those artists that was overshadowed by powerhouse singers way back. I am so happy that things are different now. The music industry here in the Philippines is not all about "birit" anymore. Jaya maybe an alto but she can sing side by side with any belters out there. Her techniques are out of this world not to mention her performing skills. I wan to thank you both for giving time in doing reactions to our legendary artists like Martin, Gary, Regine and of course Jaya. My favorite reaction channel hands down by far. Keep safe Wale and Efra.
Such a joy to listen to this podcast. And Jaya I only knew some few things about her aside from being an artist. Such refreshing way to know more about her background and the way she started her career.
Hi Waleska and Efra! Super Duper Excited here, thanks for feauturing and appreciating Filifino artists like Jaya, Gary V, Inigo, JayR, Keana, Bugoy and more to follow. Good luck and God bless.
..yeah....the Legendary Elizabeth Ramsey which always ensure inspire audiences in her shows and go home HAPPY and satisfied after her shows....luv U Jay...!
What a beautiful human being. She has her feet on the ground still despite having experienced enormous success. Like most filipinos, i had my introduction of Jaya in the 90’s, but I didnt know how colorful and storied her career was even before making it big in the philippines. I thought she should write a book, and then when she said she’ll write one, i screamed!! Will definitely get one when it comes out. You can feel her passion towards music, and you can tell that she knows her references. I LOVE JAYA! One thing though is that she is being waaaaay too modest. She was a big household name in the 90s when she released hit after hit after hit of ballads; when she sang weekly side by side against the likes of Lani Misalucha and Regine Velasquez; and even up to now when she collaborates with young artists. Such a true artist and beautiful soul.
i cannot believe you made it putting JAYA in your podcast. wow.. and thank you for doing this, because i was surprised that JAYA was super busy doing stuff with well known singers before in the USA. she is so humble not realy bragging this in the Philippines. shes is so American mentality and all not taking pictures with those famous singers then. she is always one of a kind in the Philippines. one of our QUEENS and will always be. QUEEN JAYA . Queen of Soul
I teared up hearing that story. Waleska saying 'Be The Light' reminded me of OOR's same titled song. Love it when artists not only entertain but inspires too. It gives them so much depth which tells you you're stanning the right ones.
First time checking a podcast not knowing what to expect, and, finishing the entire thing out of enjoyment. Good conversation! Imma check the others too!
Exactly what Jaya said. Watching you guys makes me feel good. I love your podcasts and I love the way you talk about things. You guys put so much passion ang thoughts in your reaction vids. And I think that's what makes your channel really amazing. ❤️

I was super excited when I heard you're featuring JAYA. She is so open and kind. While listening to her, I don't think she realizes how great her talent is. Her humility is so inspiring. Jaya is so simple that she doesn't have a personal assistant, does the laundry and does it to perfection... just Wow! Growing up I knew she was a big artist here but God is good that she is just the way she is, famous yes but more importantly simple and free.
this made me sleep late... you two do nit only have talent in music, but you got a gift of conversation where anyone that listens or watch you do your thing get hooked... thank you for discovering Filipino artists and give them the respect they deserve... Jaya is an amazing artist and so down to earth despite how massive she is.... you highlighted her and gave us a different side of her that is so authentic and relatable.... thank you for sharing your gift to the world... a big fan here... keep it up and take care always.... 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤️
Such a fun podcast. You guys really are blessed to have "THE Jaya" on your channel and to get to know her more. Btw, knowing that Jaya will leave the Philippines and stay in the U.S. is kind of bittersweet. It made me feel sad a little, knowing that we wont get to see her often on TV or listen to her. But it also good that she could get a lot of opportunities out there, you know. I just wish her a really big success ahead of her coz that what Jaya truly deserves. And I look forward to her dream concert with Ms. Regine and Lani. It's everyone's dream concert. They are like The Philippines Vocal Trinity. And imagine if the next generation of singers/divas got to sing with them three. It'll be amazing Thank you guys for featuring Ms. Jaya on your channel and appreciating her legendary music. All the love 💖
How genuine this podcast is? Love the personality of Jaya on how she being generous with her story..Thanks Waleska and Efra for this interview 💕All love from the Philippines 💕💕
I thought Gary's was hard to top. How nice to see the human side of these wonderful artists. I only know her from her singing, but wow what a personality! This interview totally made her real to me, a superstar! So refreshing that she's still got this wide eyed, kid like curiosity about creating and discovering with such a long and varied career. Thanks for this! She's super!
Jaya is witty! I really enjoyed this interview..thanks. I'm from 'states, and I know she's a great singer, but didn't know much about her personality..wow, so impressed, she's so articulate, extemporaneous and all.
I loved what Jaya said, she has the name but can still live a normal live. That's a blessing. I remember Gary wishing the same thing but hasn't gotten his wish. Yet, even how different life treated them, they still see it as being blessed. The contentment and humility are such wonderful trait to idolize. So brilliant people, worthy to be called an icon. Wale and Efra, by speaking with and getting to know these great personalities, I feel l also get to know you more. Amazing!

It'll be amazing
Thank you guys for featuring Ms. Jaya on your channel and appreciating her legendary music. All the love 💖
Ms. Regine too, that will be epic!🥰
Love Jaya! Very humble and oh-so-very talented! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
WE LOVE YOU JAYA!
YOU'RE SO TALENTED, HUMBLE AND A GENUINE PERSON! 👍👍👍👍
it is just now, i really get to see the face of Jaya, she is simply beautiful, i mean charmingly beautiful.
Jaya is witty! I really enjoyed this interview..thanks. I'm from 'states, and I know she's a great singer, but didn't know much about her personality..wow, so impressed, she's so articulate, extemporaneous and all.
Thank you for doing this. Looking forward to this podcast featuring Filipino icons on TH-cam every Sunday...❤️
Amazing!
What a podcast! I learned so many things about Jaya! Always lover her and her music!
