My company has disabled Loop components. They don’t yet feel comfortable letting employees use it. What are the security risks of allowing access to Loop? Suggestions to help companies feel more comfortable w/Loop?

Thanks for your question and that's a difficult one to answer. Your IT Admin has likely made a decision based on what they feel is correct, although I would suggest that they check out the Loop Components Architecture to understand it a little more.
For example, Loop Components are not available to any external party and also the Component being shared will default to the Sharing Link behaviour set in the Microsoft 365 tenant (which IT define) and therefore the Component is nothing more (technically) that a page being shared internally with named persons or org-wide.
There are also some eDiscovery capabilities available and there are options to limit the rollout to specific Groups of people too.
As with all things, a business case for IT will really help get traction and therefore explaining how you and your team will use Loop Components (Dynamic Agendas, Checklists, Task Lists and Paragraphs) will help drive things forward.
