Hürrem's return in the palace shocks everyone, especially Suleiman. People wonder what Suleiman will decide about Hürrem. Meanwhile, Rüstem searches about the secret organization. Mustafa comes to save Sparrowhawk and runs into Rüstem. Mustafa gets shocked because of what he learned about Sparrowhawk and starts following the truth. Hürrem gets worried that Mustafa will rise again and her fears come true. Suleiman charges Mustafa as Prince Regent of Istanbul.
Nurbanu learns about Eftelya and goes to confront her. She learns about Eftelya's secret and gets panicked. Selim is about to get into a big trouble. Meabwhile, Hürrem makes a plan to send Huricihan away from Kütahya. However, Huricihan has an offer for her.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Y'all keep saying Selim and Hurrem ended the empire. Selim caused the empire's downfall. If Selim caused the empire's downfall how come the empire was still around 300yrs later. If one fool sitting on the throne causes the downfall of an empire, Great Britain and many other countries wouldn't have a monarch. Use your brain people, In every empire, multiple fools had sat on the throne, and brilliant monarchs have also risen. Selim's son is an example he was a great Sultan, unlike his father.
Selim's reign did weaken the SULTAN'S AUTHORITY but it most certainly did not cause its downfall.

It looks cruel on Hurem part that she wants Mustafa to be dead, but I think Hurrem is only doing this to protect her sons, as she believes that if Mustafa get the throne he will definitely kill his brothers and her with the aide of Mahidevairan and Fatima Sultan. Also Hurrem dislikes Mustafa as in the past he has threatened her and her kids. Also Hurem suspects that Mahidevran has killed her son Naimet so she doesn’t trust them . I hope that in the show later they reveal this truth that behind Neimet death it was Mahi hand. I wish.
Yea but SPOILER ALERT Mahi is not caught. Even I wished her aide Ilyas reveals that he killed her on orders of Mahidevran. The reason they left her untouched is because she outlived both Hurrem and Suleyman

When the realized that she had became Suleyman “ favorite “ they all gang up on Hurrem and did a lot of rather vicious things to her . All of them inclusive is of Suleymans mother . They even had Ibrahim protecting them and Hurrem was burned , beating, thrown in a dungeon, kidnapped, they tried to kill her several times , she poisoned while pregnant by none other than Mahidevran , and sent into exile three times . Hurrem learned well to defend herself by using the same deeds they did and taught her first . She learned well from the women that where already in the palace when got there.
Suleiman always forgives selim but never Mustafa. Mustafa always had to pay. Even when bayezid secretly went to Istanbul to meet hurrichian. He went back safely and Mustafa even mentioned how his father favours his brothers over him. Suleiman forgave selim countless times. Even when his drinking sin was huge. However with mustafa it has never been the same. The truth is Mustafa was the best fit for throne but suleiman never really looked at him as a son but a rebel. And ofcourse it wouldn't have been possible without hurrem's cunning tactics
Selim only hurts himself by drinking. Mustafa and Bayezid hurt Suliemon by actually doing things against him.
Because selim was no threat to his rule , selim was considered weak and lacking personality. There was never a danger of selim overthrowing his father because he lacked the charisma and power to gather around him allies from the millitary . Mustapha and bayezid had powerful allies in the millitary establishment and were considered strong rivals to their father .
the scene where Suleiman hugs his son Mustafa is so touching.

In real life older people's faces are not so expressive due to less muscle tone which is probably why they are labelled as boring or miserable. Read that in a body language book. It pays to do those facial exercises!

He technically blackmailed hurrem so she had to do anything to convince mihirimah to marry rustem ( obviously at the end it was her choice but hurrem would not let her make any other choice either we know ) then he is being sad that she is not loving him and all . his situation is atleast better than other sons in law in series that mihirimah is not disrespecting him like sah and hatice .

Rustem should have tried to win Mihrimahs heart. Write love letters, bring her little gifts, do nice things for her, etc. But he didn't do that. She deserved that, and probably would have been receptive to it.
She wanted Bali Bey and had been promised to be able to choose,, so in the show he does seem try a lot but nevertheless he forced Hurrems hand and became an imposition to Mihrimah not without Hurrem finding out that Bali Bey absolutely no interest in her daughter.
He did. But they didn't show it on the series often.
Idk about the other things but i know he did write her sweet notes and everything when he went to war
In the scene where a servant steals mihrimah's letters from Rustem for shah sultana, we see shah sultana saying that the letter only held love poems and nothing else.
And mihrimah went to reread it and I can assume that she did it because she liked it too as we already know that it didn't hold any important information.
I think Fatma sultana here, ruined what was a good relationship

Sultan saw all of Hurrem’s children have gone astray except miriman and Jangir. Jhangir is handicapped so he cannot take the throne. Only option is Mustafa! But His mother will kill all the brothers though. Its a tough choice for Sultan. I was on Hurrems side, but she neglected all her children! She should have thought about this before.
Mirimah and cihangir are that good children either. Only Selim is the most polite son of the Sultan. Believe it or not. Better watch all of the episodes so you'll know. Cihangir is stupid. He is even more loyal to traitor and arrogant mustafa than his own father. Mustafa is not fit to be the next sultan. He is a traitor, arrogant, deliquent, unlawful, shameless prince. If you have watched all of the episodes and you are just, then you'll definitely know that only Selim is fit next to the throne.
Hurrem neglected her children?! 😂 that’s the biggest joke I’ve ever heard 🙄 Her every waking moment is devoted to her children and protecting them. She’s risked her marriage with the Sultan so many times to keep her children safe. Children going astray isn’t always the parents’ fault, their own character comes into play as well and sometimes they’re just stupid.

Mirhimah respected him immensely, and he mentored her in political court matters...supported her endeavours, helped bring her various projects to fruition.
Other than Tastchali Yahya bey, nobody, not even his enemies had anything bad to say about him. In everybody's opinion, he was an able statesman who never took bribes.
He was very rich even before he married mirhimah, amassed great riches in his life, but still lived a simple life.

In the real historic accounts Suleiman was devoted to Hurrem and married off all the concubines and lived with Hurrem until she died eight years before his death . Mihrimah and Rustem lived a good life as well and Suleiman died Selim ascended the throne with Nurbanu as his wife and his son Murad after him . They have put a lot of drama in these episode to attract more viewers.

I have watched this from episode 1. I use to love Hurrem!! The love between her and Suleiman was so special. But I hated it when she became so evil and vengful. Suleiman needed her to just love him and the children, but not to the point of murder. Watching these later episodes have made me so sad for Suleiman, because he found himself so lonely and sad with no one that he could trust or depend upon. It broke my heart many times to see him so sad with no one to love him, when he really needed it. I guess I am so sad about this because I know how his character feels. Let down and betrayed by many around you. I too hated that we lost the spark the other actress gave to Hurrem, but this one fits the evil heart that dwells in her. I really wish an American producer would notice this and remake it for the USA with the same actors and props. I know it would be a hit here!!
You do realise that all this is fiction?. History tells us that Suleiman and Hurrem ruled the empire together after the death of Ibrahim. They didn’t have time for palace intrigues. Incidentally they shared connecting appartments.

She was very intellegent. I just wish they had showed more of that in the show. I would love for some producer to remake the show that showed a lot more of her wonderful qualities. I also learned that his daughter went with Suleiman to many wars. If that is not true....sorry.

He might not kill his brothers, but Mahidevran would. The only reason why she hasn't yet was because it could hurt Mustafa and his chance to be the next sultan. Once he's kn the throne and secure, i have no doubt she would kill them to prevent any kind of rebellion. She'd convince herself she was doing it to protect Muatafa.

Mihiruma here (the actress) is not the most beautiful girl in the series, there are much beautiful actress (concubines) then her but her keen eyes+that pride+ the confidence+ excellent acting+ they way she maintain the grace, beauty, innocence and attitude at the same time. I'm sure that's the only reason they casted her as mihiruma sultan. Best one of all.

Also, there was no way they could have held control of Europe, and attack on Rome would have rallied Portugal, Spain, France and Asutria even the non catholic coutries . I am so fascinated with the love story of Hurrem 1 and Sultan Suleyman ….. now I am begiinning to lose interest with their relationship, Hurrem is now vindictive. Love becomes more tender and sweet as you grow older, but the character of Hurrem 2 is not encouraging…. She is the villain now…. The father and sons relationship is becoming closer, …… Hurrem is getting older and older even her beliefs, she has lost her sense of understanding , while Mustafa, Beyazid and Cihangir are growing mature and smart and intelligent.
