    When she said "we can always check out our gym crushes" I felt exposed 😂
    Also question. I go to Planet Fitness (please don't bully me) but the smith machines there are set at an angle which I hate but its what is available. My question is which direction should I lift from? Ive avoided deadlifts most of my life cause I hear you can get really messed up if done wrong. Any insight would be appreciated. Cheers 🤘

    • @naomikong
      @naomikong  4 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Conrad Francis Planet Fitness is as good of a gym than any other! 🙌🏼 I would recommend deadlifting facing the bar that you’re holding so that the angle comes down closer to your legs as you come down & farther away from you as you go up. Lmk if that makes sense! ✨

    Hands are played right outside the legs or parallel to the legs- some people are saying. Which is better and correct? Thank you, excellent demonstration.

    • @naomikong
      @naomikong  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Muhammed Reneesh I prefer & would recommend right outside the legs, however, everyone’s body is different, so try both and simply do whichever feels most comfortable for you! ✨

    Might I ask what’s an average weight to load up for a set of 10 free weight RDLs? I don’t think I’m rounding my back but I feel this in my lower back towards the end of a set, I’m just wondering if maybe I could be loading up too much as a beginner?🤔

    • @emmao1232

      There isn't really an "average weight", it depends on your weight, gender, age, health, previous experience, etc., There are just so many factors

    naomikong, though u r correct in your form, the problem with this demonstration, is that you are not high enough on the stepper/platform, on a Smith machine to maximize the lift, the 'bar' should be inline with your ankles above your feet, just like when using a regular bar...YES you have good form, yet you are not getting enough of of stretch to work the muscles properly and adding weight while using a smith machine could lead to a mishap.....outside of this your video was a decent present of how to use the machine....and this is a common mistake of a lot of ppl dead lifting on the smith.
