I absolutely love this style of bore sight. A tip for anybody watching... this style of laser bore sight usually comes with screws to adjust the laser's positioning. Out of the box, the laser is usually off by a decent bit. But if you take the bore sight and put it into a chordless drill, you can spin it. The larger the circular laser pattern, the farther it is from concentric. The smaller, the better. I adjusted mine until I had an almost undetectable dot at 50 yards. Since doing that, every rifle I shoot is on paper, has good left/right, and is only slightly low at 50 yards. Best investment I've made.
@@steveenczi8967 lasers are a fine dot, but they often have a slight angle to them. Nothing noticeable in your hand, but enough that if youre trying to get on paper at 50 yards, you absolutely can't. This is the flaw with "cartridge" laser bore sights. The bore sights that stick into the end of a barrel... they have adjustment screws for moving the angle of the laser. You can put the long prong into the chuck of a cordless drill. When you spin the prong with the laser on, it will draw a circle. If you sight in your tool using the bore sighter, youre sighting in to any spot the laser is hitting in that circle. The smaller you can get that circle, the more precise your initial starting point. Theres still issues with the locking mechanisms concentricity (how small that circle is)... but youre able to eliminate one of the variables for concentricity. Versus a cartridge bore sighter... where youre stuck with whatever you get, have no way to adjust anything, and have no way to test the actual arc angle of the laser.

I just used it last weekend on another new setup, works great!
Who needs a laser sighter?
Useless gadget to waste your money?
I used to just sight down the bore, but you cant deny this works better, and its cheaper than wasting ammo. So why not?
Old man yelling at clouds
Me when 8.6BLK is $3/rnd much cheaper to get on paper.
