It worked beautifully. Well done sir. I modded this computer up 4 years ago and hated to get rid of it. It is extremely fast as a result. Now I have it back.

Thank you! Did half of what you showed. Didn't remove the processor/cooling part. Just remover the bios battery and touched the metal parts to earth to remove any static. It worked good. Thank you once again.😊

Thank you for showing this technique. I tried it and the laptop starts up as usual. Prior to doing this, took it to a repair place where they have "geeks" and was told that the hard drive was bad and needed to be replaced. Thanks again!

I honestly did not think this was going to work, but since it was pretty much toast i figured what the heck. I tried it on my Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop. The only thing I did different was covered the entire motherboard in foil instead of leaving a chip exposed. I used the heat gun and put it all back together and it actually works again. Thanks so much for the video.

"The blanket method" is a temporary solution(it does work, I tried it) for emergency back up(if you are a student, boy are you going to need this...) and you can also run diagnostics, so you can localize your exact problem when in doubt. Sometimes it can be faulty ribbon cable of the keyboard(you still get 7 beeps which indicate cpu issue...), so you need to localize your issue BEFORE you get a screwdriver, a heat gun and start playng. ;)

Teaching Death Warning: I hate fake repairmen that learn off of TH-cam then offer services to learn through trial and error at the expense of their customer's expensive electronics! No respectable educated repairman would ever use a heat gun made for removing paint from furniture on an electronic to do a reflow it caused serious damage and even if it accidentally works that heat gun will have a 100-degree temperature difference from one outlet to the next and will have a 100-degree temperature difference for every 1/8 of an inch in height above the chip you are trying to reflow 99% of you will pop the solder below the chip or kill the chip along with a lot of other stuff! NOTE: if you do not hit reflow temperature within +/- 1 to 2 Degrees with a profile ramping up with specific time intervals to ensure even consistent temperature you will likely kill or at very least damage nearby components not to mention killing that GPU or crystalizing the solder below the chip so badly that even re-balling is no longer an option!!
Did you not at least take a soldering class before making this video or offering services?

I have the same device and the same problem, I did the heating and even reballing but after a while, the problem came back, I heard that in some models you can make the motherboard use onboard graphics instead of the chip, in other words, omit the graphics chip of the circuit. is it a possible option for this model?

Just plug it in, turn it on, let it beep and wrap the laptop in a comforter nice and snug and let run for 20 minutes and unplug and let cool down at room temp. About 10 minutes and plug back in. PRESTO!

@@dawidcieslak6488 yes it works. also try pushing and pulling on the right hinge of your laptop while booting. worked for me. it might be different dependong on ur model, but when i put tension on it then i can boot up. i also had to use this method in this video first, then anytime i need to power it off/on, i will put tension on the hinge and it boots without having to ever resort to re-heating or anything else. I've had both 7 and 8 beeps on the laptop and I'm using it to type this now. inspiron 3537

I have a Dell Inspiron 3162 notebook. The problem is when I press the power button, the Beep sound appears 5 times short and there is no screen display. But when I turn off the power button and then I turn around with about 5 trial times, my notebook returned to normal and no more sound. The next day when I turn on the sound of the sound of 5 times a beep. And I unload my laptop then I cleaned RAM after that I replaced RAM and press the power button, the sound of my laptop increased to 7 times the Beep. Keep experimenting several times I press the power button then I turn off, my laptop returns to normal. Please solution, sir?
